Firstly it is 127m shares. MATD senior management (own 5.6%) and other Directors (Petrovis c.35% ) wanting to participate in this fundraise. Should get more clarity after 'Accelerated book building' is concluded...RNS tomorrow most likely. Petrovis might take 35% of the new shares, to maintain their overall Holdings % without diluting their current holding, along with 5.6% currently owned by senior management. That would leave only c.60% of the 127m with institutional investors. IMHO.

Not entirely sure how you came to that conclusion. From memory AAog is targeting only 8m barrels with only 56% ownership??? I would rather buy Matd at 12p than AAog at 10p....no brainer. Anyway each to their own.

The more I read details provided in today's RNS, the better it gets. "the Company does not rule out bringing in a farminee, if on favourable terms, prior to the commencement of drilling in July 2018". Well that's just few weeks away. Could today's fundraise be a signal the company wanted to send out to these potential farminees? These farminees have continually shown interest in Block V targets and now also shown interest in Block XX (much larger Red Deer prospect).

It's dilution either way you look at it. Either you raise funds from Farm In partner by giving away large % of your licence OR raise funds from Institutional & private investors. Excellent thing is all these Onshore wells are very low cost giving MATD much higher NPV and IRR per well. Also much higher profit margin at current Oil prices from domestic and China sales.

Previous Placing was done well before June/July expected Spud. Current Placing done at 54% higher to last price and so close to Spud. Total recoverable barrels now close to +1 Billion barrels Recov. (Mid case) with upside case even higher.

Correction to my earlier weighted average price. Should be 12.3 and not 11.75 that I calculated earlier. * 525m @ 12.85 = £67.46m * 127m @ 10p = £12.7m ------------------------------------ 652m @ 12.3 = £80.16m

Schach, So what if your position swings by a few grand. Think about the 10's of thousands £££ added to your same Holding in coming weeks. Drilling to get underway soon. Same for me. Not bothered in the slightest.

Fundraiser, Strong cash position always overrides temporary placing. Cash is lifeblood of AIM. Management has raised funds to ADD 2 extra drills. Even Block XX 'Red Deer' prospect is almost DOUBLE at 48 MMBO than previous guidance of c.25m. Need to put funding in perspective. They have raised funds due to demand. Stockdale, Stifel and Paritas probably already got Clients willing to take a large chunk. Stock in my opinion is already taken up. Clue is 8 a.m 14 June closing window for the Accelerated Book Build. Expect this to be over subscribed.

11.75 is what I roughly work out as weighted average price. So noix is pretty much spot on. Doubt it very much price will get anywhere near 10p as suggested by few merchants who sold around 12p and looking to enter again on the cheap. Watch them bash company until they Buy in. Then same management team will become one of the best on AIM.

Rift , Agree. Raise when momentum is strong. Excellent cash position now for MATD. Company management mean business and got their own money invested here. Upside to be shared by ALL. No other AIM company sitting on this much cash balance about to tap into Multi-Billion barrel oil basins. Strong vote of confidence here without any doubt.

Yep. Been long time coming. Very strong Up channel towards 22p as first stop. Bargain entry price right now. Can see this over 15p early next week easily.

Good advice. Best to filter them for my own sanity OR simply ignore....this lot can drive anyone crazy. Nice re-rate just about getting started.
