It's just that these time estimates were bugging me so much that I just went straight to Sinopec site to search for their recent drill speeds achieved in Northern China & Inner Mongolia drills. Sinopec Rigs technology have achieved world ranking now. Good to have Sinopec as our drill partner.

Irves-1 (Snow Leopard) is an important 'basin and play opening' well. It will be the first deep exploration well drilled in Central Mongolia to test the hydrocarbon potential of the highly prolific Early Cretaceous 'syn-rift' play already proven in neighbouring Chinese and eastern Mongolian basins. Success at Irves-1 would open the Taats Basin for further exploration and potentially access over 1.8 billion barrels oil-in-place (mid-case estimate).

Drilling speed of. 7.09 m/h (metres per hour) recently achieved by Sinopec is quite amazing. (1) Snow Leopard TD 3150 metres. (2) Wild Horse TD 1850 metres. Using 7.09 m/h drilling rate (Sinopec) and 10 hours drilling per day, we get following completion times to reach TD. (1) Snow Leopard 44.42 days. (2) Wild Horse 26 days.

Mikey30. Thanks. Yep, company seems to have added 20 extra days to each of first 2 drills. Both SL and WH drills should come in well early than guidance provided, going by record drilling speed achieved by Sinopec recently on other drills using their state of the art technologies.

Further improvement in deep well and ultra-deep well drilling matching technologies: A series of drilling acceleration technologies dominated by downhole tool + efficient drill bit and featured technologies, including leakage protection & sealing technology, borehole track control technology, drill tool combined optimization, air / atomization / foam drilling integrated technology, fine pressure-control drilling technology, long open hole cementing technology, etc. were formed, supporting the evaluation of tectonic zone in front of north hill in eastern Sichuan and the exploration discovery of Shunbei Oil and Gas Field. In whole year, there were 211 ultradeep wells and 21 wells over 7,000 m deep, drilled and finished, with average well depth of 5,698.84 m, mechanical drilling speed of 7.09 m/h, and drilling cycle of 97.91 days. Mashen #1 Well set a record of Asian deepest well (a drilled depth of 8,418 m), and Shunbei #2 Well set a new record of being the worldwide obliquely deepest (a drilled depth of 8,169 m) among small holes, which marked Sinopec ultra-deep well drilling and finishing technology entered the ranks of world leading technologies. P.S. mechanical drilling speed of 7.09 m/h (metres per hour), is quite astonishing.

Don't think EA is going to move the share price much at all. Only thing to provide some near term movement would be confirmation of a Farm Out deal. Again will need to see deal terms, I.e. How much of licence % do BPC retain? How much will be BPC share of well costs going forward? Dilution is inevitable here TBH, whether at asset level OR share level. BPC will need to raise funds at some point going forward if exploration goes ahead in Bahamian waters. Biggest near-term drills about to kick start at MATD. Quick +100% upside.

Have seen so many shares hyped up on CPR estimates. They add very little to actual re-rate. What really moves oil explorers is actual drill itself and run up to Spud. That is where the Lions share of profits / Upside comes from. Drills at ROSE not happening until 2019 realistically speaking in my view as far as I can see. Many examples out there. Biggest near-term drills on entire AIM about to kick off at MATD. Very lucky to still able to buy sub 15p. Should be in 20s soon. I would look at Rose around Christmas time once we get more clarity on Drill time frames etc. GLA.

Mikey30, There is no way Snow Leopard should take 70 days. That seems to be far too long in my opinion. Still not sure why they quoted 70 days when as per last year they quoted 50 days and even that looked generous. Today SAVP reported them taking only 24 days to reach TD of 2469 metres and further 9 days to complete wire logs etc. Unless MATD have lumbered extra 2 weeks within that 70 days for Rig mobilisation to Wild Horse soon after Snow Leopard is done. I think MATD have a fixed price Quote for the Sinopec Rig and that includes down time in between the 2 drills which they want to keep to a minimum. Operational Update next week should hopefully provide more clarity around drill time quotes. I expect Snow Leopard to come in well earlier than 70 days.

HH, Pretty happy with Risk / Reward here. MATD is serious life changing share. Risk is spread across 4 drills. Any one Drill can strike big. Targeting over 0.5 Billion barrels (580MMBO) in just few weeks for starters. I have sold some of my Laggards and added further in MATD.

Recovery rates: * 10% rate is 9 Billion barrels * 25% gives 23 Billion barrels Where else you going to get such Massive potential?. None of other explorers come even close to the phenomenal Upside MATD offers right now.

SAVP drilled 2469 metres in just 24 days. I think Snow Leopard has far too much extra days built in as a buffer. Looking at TD for Snow Leopard, It should come in welll early.

Manro, I would leave some to their own narrow mindedness. That type never make any money as they spend more time bashing a stock instead of investing in the massive potential. Even if MATD strike big, they will still find something negative to comment on.

Route1, With your investment attitude, don't think you will ever make money. Keep bashing, makes no difference.

Upside here is absolutely mind boggling. * On shore low cost wells. * 100% ownership. Fully funded 4 wells. * Rich, thick lacustrine oil shales * source rocks so rich, they catch fire. * Geology analogous to proven producing Chinese basins (100 Billion barrels Recov.). Price will respond in due course. Just sit tight. No point chasing spikes elsewhere. I understand some might have been spooked by last year delays, but that's in the past. Market will re-rate in due course on forward potential. When it does, it could be fast & furious. Each to their own decision.

Hoof , I know loads are still on the sidelines waiting for drill Spud dates. Imagine if all wanted in at the same time... Totally new ball game now with 4 drills. Volumes need to increase, just a matter of before this passes last year's high. Drill bit to turn soon.

In my view, No point in chasing other stocks when right now you are already in one of 'The Most' exciting oil explorer across AIM. I view MATD as a multi-Billion $ company in the making producing quite a few AIM millionaires in a year or so time.

Think drilling at Rose is either planned for Q4 or Q1 2019, so too far away at this stage. I have had Rose on my watchlist but prize there is no way near what MATD potentially sitting on.
