We seem to have dropped today more on sympathy with other Oilers. Some oilers closed in positive territory. Expect a bounce tomorrow as people get their focus back on fundamentals.

Heron Oil will be sold to Chinese refinery. So no issues for MATD on that front.

NASDAQ turned positive now.

Russia, China and Mongolia, all 3 working together expanding their economic expansion as per their recent visits.

Dont forget the $400 billion gas supply deal between Russia and China and that pipeline goes through Mongolia.

I would say, Mongolia being one of last Oil frontiers is probably the best place to invest given all the economic expansion, Urbanisation and Industrialisation that is to come in coming decades. This is early / first mover advantage.

At $120/bbl price broker valuation estimate would be DOUBLE at +$700 million.

With so less shares in issue compared to other oilers....this could re-rate really fast when it gets going given our crazy low MCap.

Yes mate. This has been trading at a massive discount to Asset valuation.

At $60/bbl the Valuation of $351m (risk adjusted)
on the conservative side. At $100 or $120 you can see the Massive upwards revision.

I am firmly focused on price in 6, 12, 18 months time not today/ tomorrow.

Geo political situation should have no impact on our Mongolian operations in my view. Indian Govt already pushing for Mongolian domestic oil refinery to come online in 2024.

Good question about why the re-rate.

Been going through the Asset valuation derived by Progressive analysts who have provided very detailed 'risked' valuations for different parts.

Just for Heron base case & upside is valued @ 18.5p using $60/bbl price.

Current Oil price around $96 is 60% higher than $60 giving revised valuation just for Heron @ 30p

At $100/bbl or higher....it would be even higher.

This is trading at a Massive Discount to derived Asset valuation just for Heron.

Call it blessing in disguise. Heron oil production coming online in a continued higher Oil price environment for coming years.

Current MCap clearly lags way behind previous peaks of 38p and over £2 when we had less shares in issues. Even today we only got 898m shares unlike 15-16 billion shares like other oilers.

Upside here is huge from current lows. Just a matter of time when MCap adjusts higher as operations get underway.

Bit of volatility here and there in broader markets as expected with geo political situation but need to stay firmly focused on your investment case.

Outlook for MATD over coming months/years looks extremely bright with accelerated revenues from Heron Oil production at +100% growth rate year-on-year as production ramps up.

Exploration upside for MATD is equally explosive from both Block XX and Block V.

We about to enter busy news flow period in 2022.
Next 3-9 months should be very exciting here.

Agree. If their Risk adjusted valuation at $60/bbl is 29p then anyone can workout out revised valuation at $100/bbl or $120/bbl.

50p would be very reasonable, propbably a bit conservative.

Yes. Lovely buying opportunity. Need to focus on where share price going to be in next 3-6 months, not today. No brainer.

Even without political issues Oil price forecasts from JP Morgan for 2022 has been $125/bbl and $150/bbl for 2023 based on supply / demand.

By summer this year Oil price could be well over $100 by the Heron oil comes to market benchmarked to Brent crude.

Sub 5p should have long gone by then.

There are lot of moving parts with ongoing talks / negotiations on different fronts:

Block V environment study approval
Heron oil price benchmarked to Brent price
Rig / service contractor deal

We might get all as one Operational update as already discussed here last week. We might already have drill rig contract all sorted...who knows. If all above are sorted and come as one single Operational update, then you can forget about sub 5p entry price as this would jump to 10p plus within days.
