OWN. Not questioning that Irwin disagrees. That is OK about why rant? Why tweet childish and yes bitter tweets? He is running scared else why would he need to behave this way. Not professional and he is not acting as a stand up guy.

Mr Irwin is clearly worried. For one that feels the need to rant so much about the offer I smell fear. Proper fear Mr Irwin. Someone is ranting that NM “will be out soon” then in 3029 or maybe 2020. I suggest that CGP will be firmly in SOLGs hands then and Mr Irwin’s SOLG fate will once again be controlled by NM - as it actually is now anyway. Good luck with your bitterness Mr Irwin.

Previously I have posted that I contacted SOLG and the news regarding the comptrollers report is "completely wrong".
SOLG are good in their responses. I asked for a copy of SOLG response and received the following back today. Note the comment about newsflow :)

I am not able to share our response and there is no timetable for the Comptrollers office to come back to us. However, please be assured that we are in regular and productive communication with the Ecuadorian government. As you may know the Mining Minister was in Toronto for PDAC and made some very encouraging comments with regards to getting these issues resolved as soon as possible.

With regard to newsflow we anticipate releasing several updates in the coming weeks.

Why did Mather offer such a low price for CGP? Sets the bar low. What we do not know but is a possibility if he is in cahoots with BHP who will come in with an offer a bit higher than SOLG.
Seems there is a tactic at play here. Why start with a high offer?

When I read Dose’s post I contacted SOLG about it to certify the validity. Reply as follows:

“We provided a response to the Comptrollers report over the New Year as the information they have reported is completely wrong. We are currently waiting on a response from them.“

This is the longest term we have gone since Oct 16 without an exploration update. Between Jul 16 and Oct 16 was a period of three months without any updates.
This happened to be the period where Newcrest bought in and BHP made their initial offer.
As well as Cornerstone I suspect that there is more going on in the background.

Like the idea although cant understand the logic for Guyana Goldfields hanging on another couple of months for this if this is the case...

Whilst I consider myself to be an optimist with regard to this company I have written to them today complaining about the share price. On their web site the first line of their strategy is to �Create substantial wealth for its shareholders by exploring, discovering and defining large inventories of, but not limited to, copper and gold metal.�. I have bought in various points on the journey from 3 p and up to 40p. I have suggested that their strategy has changed and thus reflected the share price. The web site strategy still does not mention producer hence it is misleading. Fully understand that it could be gamesmanship by NM although I have asked about the creating wealth statement further. Let�s see how they respond.
