Ok , Ok , I don't mind putting myself up to be shot down in flames. Buying and selling shares is not something I know a great deal about but surely if someone was looking to BUY 0.6 billion shares then that figure would be in the buy orders column and not the sell orders column , right?

Yeah , definitely holding , even take the trouble to put it in the opinion box every time I post or comment.
To bale out now would be like admitting defeat.
Resisting the temptation to average down though , if I was supremely confident that SYME will blossom one day then of course I would fill my boots but I don't want to throw too much money at what is still essentially a fairly risky proposition and in any case I think there will be plenty of wiggle room to top up later if good news ensues.
I used to work with a builder , a lovely guy , a Scouser , but with one fatal flaw ; whenever someone , asked his opinion on something , anything , he would always come up with some kind of bull**** , even if he didn't have a clue what he was talking about and more often than not , he would just end up making a total eejit of himself. He just couldn't bring himself to utter the words "I don't know"
I think there may be on or two like that on here.
I however suffer from no such encumbrance, if you ask me
"will SYME be a success?"
I will answer , "I DON'T KNOW , but I bloody well hope so!"

..one allows for the very real possibility that AZ could sell sand to the Arabs i think that most would agree that banks tend NOT to lend money to enterprises that are on the cusp of doom.
I am also of the opinion that "deadlines" are often rather spurious constructs and I am more concerned with the whether as opposed to the when.
...and in any case , most of us are a good many fathoms underwater so we may as well hold our breath a little longer and , with a bit of luck , we will pop back up again.

RockyRider asks "so why isn't this booming?" and it is a perfectly reasonable question , I only wish I could provide you with a well reasoned and lucid answer! All I can say is AZ still has a few more burning hoops to jump through before the drum roll finally stops and the rabbit comes out of the hat , not that I necessarily think there will be any such cathartic moment , a slow burn will do just nicely thanks. Perhaps it has something to do with the sheer ambition and complexity of the proposition that makes it's progress so laboured , bare in mind that financial and accounting legislation is not a sitting duck it's a moving target and goalposts can be moved and not necessarily in SYMES favour , I speak in broad terms because I am not qualified to comment on the minutiae of such things.
So far as breaking even is concerned there is something of a catch 22 situation here.
At the moment there are probably quite a lot of invested who would be quite happy to take their money and run IF they could get back to break even or anywhere near it , however , if we ever get back to break even we will have had to have seen some significant and positive progress/news in order to get us there and , that being the case , investors who may be somewhat frustrated and doubtful now will have cause to rethink and will perhaps decide to hold on a little longer.
I am Luke warm on SYME , I have always been Luke warm on SYME , I am still Like warm on SYME , I continue to hold with no time span in mind and no sp target set , just wait and see and hope for things to come good.
It was somewhat of a boon to see SYME recently secure a one million euro loan from an Italian bank, not proof positive but definitely a positive , none the less.

Well we have had the inaugural test flight , (IM) , so to speak , think of that grainy black n white film of the Wright brothers coaxing their "baby" into the air , and further IMs to follow from the same funder. However , i think it would be wrong to say that these further IMs will have any major effect on SP. To my mind we are still very much in the stage of potential as opposed to delivery and I feel that the whole concept is a work in progress rather than the finished article , fair enough , no problem with that , Rome wasn't built in a day etc etc , so I am happy to hold on for now and just wait and see how things develop.
A major positive for me is that one million euro bank loan recently secured by SYME , that means that someone has had a good look at the state of play and must have liked what they saw , doesn't it?
In the mean time i will be taking any mention of BOOMs , SNOWBALLS , READY TO FLYS or ROCKETS TO THE MOON & suchlike with a large pinch of salt , it may well be that I am just a tad cynical and if someone says to me
"there is light at the end of the tunnel"
I am inclined to think there is a train coming!
...but hell , it's like the song says...

8.5 million dollars of V chain funding still to be transacted.
Vacancies being advertised and filled at SYME.
Web 3 platform being developed.
I have always been Luke warm on SYME and I still am , as much because of the sheer scale and complexity of what they are trying to achieve as anything else.
Definitely some positive clues of late though and reasons to be hopeful.

It's all a bit silly really , the remark I made was very obviously light hearted and jocular and in any case it matters not one jot what gets said on here ; SYME will either succeed or fail entirely on it's own merits.

I think moderators have gone from being rather lax in their policing of the site to really rather strict.
Only a few days ago I got a yellow card for saying, and I quote...
this site should be taken ... " with a dirty Great pinch o salt "
I thought that wasn't an unreasonable thing to say but clearly the powers that be thought otherwise.

I shouldn't worry too much about short term , day to day movements in SP , it is what SYME are doing at the coal face that matters , if they can tap into and exploit the potential that is undoubtedly there then the sp will take care of itself and we will all , or at least those of us who have put our money down , benefit , if they can't we won't , it really is that simple.
As for bickering with the hoi polloi on here , well I have better things to do.

I think a lot of people overestimate how much effect rampers and de-rampers can have , it's results that matter. Like you I am hoping to make a few quid IF and when SYME get going.
Should say I am hoping rather than expecting but as the old saying goes ..
