I would say the reason so many of us are so far down is that there was an inflated expectation of where this might go in the early days and as time has passed and results have fallen short of that initial expectation the sp has wound back down to a more realistic level , it is possible that the company will succeed to some degree or other in the future or it may just shrivel up and die.
I find it hard to believe that anything that gets said on these types of forums has much , or indeed any , effect on the sp , that is determined by results and revenue , or lack of same for that matter.
As ever I am more hopeful than confident but that has always been my position anyway.

Only three weeks since PNP was published in Italy which , in the great scheme of things , is not very long.
I always thought that to say PNP was to be a "trigger" to white label and multiple IM's was somewhat misleading , I can't help but have an image of some fellah with a starting gun in his hand , struggling to get it to go off and then shooting himsf in the foot!

For a company who are supposed to be at the cutting edge of the "white heat of technology" their website is drab and uninspiring and if it were a shop front it wouldn't turn too many heads.
It may not be the most important piece of the puzzle right now but it has all the sparkle and charm of a wet weekend in Rhyl!

I think Scottiiboii is right.
If SYME need to borrow more money it is a reasonable assumption they can do it with a bank loan as opposed to cln.
For them to be able to do that they will need to be able to demonstrate future income , which one assumes they must have done in order to negotiate the first loan.

In any case it is hardly likely to be a case of PNP on Tuesday and multi-million dollar deals on Wednesday!
We will just have to wait and see what is revealed?

PNP may well make it much easier for SYME to market their services in Italy.
All well and good but none of us really know how much trade will be unlocked in this way or how long it will take , I would like to think we are talking in terms of a few weeks before we see any deals being announced.
One would HOPE that some deals may already have been arranged in theory and have been waiting for PNP to be signed off before they can progress but I doubt anyone postig here , including me , can really know what the state of play is.
A little more patience required I think.

Morning all ,
just thinking out loud here ; one of the recent developments that has given my hopes for SYME a bit of a boost was the bank loan they received for a million euros. I think it is a reasonable assumption that the bank would have been satisfied that SYME would have enough income to make the repayments.
I think that it is also quite likely that SYME were able to demonstrate to the bank that said income would come from deals struck AFTER PNP has been established.
So , reasons to be cheerful I think.

Fair comment Peak and i think you are about right.

One little detail that does kind of stick in ones craw a little is that todays RNS does state that ...
"The PNP Regulation will , for the first time in Italy , introduce the concept of "security interest" (a concept widely adopted across Europe and the UK) into Italian law" etc etc ...
That kind of begs the question , if the concept of security interest has been established in Europe and the UK for some time then why have SYME not been able to arrange any IM's in the UK or anywhere else in Europe hitherto?
I am kind of hoping that the fact that this PNP regulation has now been established in AZ & SYMES own back yard , so to speak , may make all the difference and for what it's worth i think it is entirely likely that it will.
Never the less it is a rather irksome detail that should not be overlooked.

a bit far fetched perhaps but where SYME is concerned , NOTHING would surprise me!
...after all they do say "fact is stranger than fiction"

SYME has always been a high risk proposition.
It's a bit like backing a 50/1 shot in the Grand National , you don't really expect it to win but you HOPE that it will ,
the thing is to keep your stakes at a sensible level , don't let your dreams drown out reality.

I used to work in a bookmakers many years ago , i have always been in construction but as i had an injury to my back which required some surgery and couldn't do anything physical for a while i thought
"why not? a change is as good as a rest" ...the money was crap but my god what a lesson in life that was!
All the punters , all of them pretty much without exception losing but they all had a plan or a system or a theory , sometimes even a conspiracy theory !
...and then when they didn't win you had all the the excuses , not to mention the aggro and there was no shortage of that!
This board reminds me of the bookies in a lot of ways , all the gob****es and the bulls**t they come out with!

It wasn't even an FT forecast, it was part of an FT article which stated "one analyst has predicted 16.69p" or words to that effect.
The FT made no such forecast.
