Well, not exactly. Before that I 3x-ed my investment getting in front of the Uskmouth announcement. Did my own estimates and landed at 40 GBX, way below analysts estimates back then but fair enough, and made a good call. It was impossible, at least for me, to predict the fact that they wouldn't get Uskmouth done. The reason why I didn't sell was because of the CfD AR4 which I knew had a high chance of seeing a ring-fenced budget for tidal stream energy. And, as you say, my strategy here was all or nothing. In fact, any investment in SAE is play money. It was the riskiest company I was able to find with a pretty descent outlook and, what some people might arguably say, a "first mover advantage". Now after they sold their tidal division things start to get pretty foggy. Could still be a good investment in many more years than I was hoping for but the risk has certainly increased. No doubt about that.
Someone like you should know that there's plenty of people around who indeed try to move the value of a stock. Pump and dump schemas are a real thing. You'll have a hard time to move the price of Apple or Google stock, but it's a different story for a stock like SAE. Besides .. it does not matter if you "can" move a stock. That does not keep people from trying and posting their "thesis" on different forums in order to hype a small, sorry, "tiny" cap stock.
"War" was clearly metaphorically as in "you think you can win the war by calling me out for being at a loss with SAE (=the battle)". Yes, my aim is to make money but I'd prefer to see people making a case for the company and not its chart, clearly with the agenda to pump their position which they intend to sell anyway. I have nothing to gain if you intend to sell your position in a few days and it looks to me like you're not 100% honest here because.. why would you even share your opinion on a short lived break-out to 1.8 or 2.23 if not for letting other people know there could be some quick wins "for them" while in fact it's you who would benefit from it the most. It amazes me how transparent this is yet you shrug it off acting out "amazed" how people think comments on a chat board can influence the price.
