Some of the less dirty and quieter people are just horribly worried, they feel they can't control their lives anymore and they worry about everything. Arreton is interesting - the fact the first well (BP 1952 with a geological report co-authored by P E Kent himself!!) had shows throughout and then the Gas Council went back in 1974 (with a top rate list of names on the rig) to retest the upper section and to drill deeper. Their inability to get a successful test and remarks about reservoir quality in general are not encouraging - however they stated "It should be noted the test may not have been entirely satisfactory. The open hole was too big to set a packer ..... this meant that two strings of casing and the cemented annuli had to be perforated."
