The man's a genius - all that cash in and they have little debt, been able to keep total control, pay bonuses and they don't leak either. Pity about the LTH's but they're clearly of no account in the big picture

What are they supposed to do?

A lo of people on here pointed out that whilst occasionally you can shut off water in oil wells in the vast majority of cases it really doesn't work very well. Hence so many small UK fields suffer from high water cut

Those rigs are OLD - IIRC the 28 was active in the 1980's - a newer rig means safer, faster drilling

Of course no -one will invest in a new rig in the UK as the market is shot but you can get one from Europe
