Simple it’s all Druids. It’s summer solstice and two weeks either side of it the SP swing will be bonkers. After that the SP will settle down in a channel a little over the open offer to account for the value of the India RNS and there it will stay until news of the bonds. Just watch out for mid December I.e. winter solstice. Basically Druids are driving the SP changes. For me it’s as good a reason as any for the SP fluctuations. GLA LTHs

It does make some kind of sense given the risks and time to value of the project. Like you I am looking at the future of the company long term and have a strong hope that we’ll be nearer 20p post bonds. I have just increased my holding by 50% as at these prices I am hoping we are near the bottom, but I think as others have said, if you’re a LTH it will be a long summer if you are SP watching every day. And whilst I am an LTH if we do get nearer to 20p I will reduce my holding back to its original as I never did an profit taking in the past and it will be nice to recover some of my losses as I still think there may be some bumps in the build that may need more funding/or longer time until we are producing which will clearly have a negative impact. Volatility I’m fine with but continued drops with no news is a bit disconcerting. Particularly when there appears to be so much ongoing site activity. I know there are still huge two huge risks: 1. Bonds 2. Build Without the first one there is no mine built (at least for the current set of investors) and I sincerely hope this current price action isn’t being driven by leaks of a bond raise failure. Even if bonds are secured, with the build I am sure we’ll have ‘fun’. However, if you are truly in this as an LTH and believe in the company then hourly and daily SP watching is currently bad for your health. The bit of investing I am still trying to rationalise is if LTH is a code for Ostrich investing or if like me it’s a real sense of faith in the project and an even greater sense of Fear of Missing Out should some positive news be announced. This downward spiral though is really testing my faith and like Fred I think a gin is called for, a large one!

Long term holder, proud of investment in project. Disappointed in the current state of affairs and the fact that the money men always make more money and hope of a modest return and success for the PI’s that have supported for many years. However I’m coming round to your side Old rascal and hoping for the top end of your figures. I was massively disappointed at the funding route and took a little gamble on selling out to grab more shares, but am now of the opinion that we came close to disappearing entirely and being funded and running rather than insolvent is clearly a better place than the alternative. Plus despite the dilution lth’s still have opportunity for modest returns as you’ve outlined. Roll on CBs, shafts and tunnelling! GLA

JR, I was entitled to ~17k asked for 452k and got a total of 183k. Not quite as much as some people reporting they got 50% but I’m pretty happy after a big gamble selling out all my ISA held shares at 18.24 to fund the full request. Hopefully I’ll get the monies returned before the IIs involvement drives the SP too far north and I should hopefully get some more funds to max out this years ISA shortly. Roll on CBs and good fun reading the posts about the build progress today. Shame the weather is turning for the Bank Holiday.... GLA

JR, I called in and told it would be done today but that it would be late on. No sign of the detail in my acct yet. Hoping the extra is 20%(or more) like others have received.

Yes, I just called HL, probably have been inundated with them and is exactly as per Chesh posted early this morning, calcs still being done. They confirmed it will be completed and will appear on my account sometime today but likely towards the end of the day. They also confirmed that any monies left over from any unsuccessful requested excess will be allocated back on my account. Basically patience required but is being dealt with.

I’m with HL, and will follow up with them as I can’t see any notification from Sirius of an extension, in fact the last OO RNS confirmed the success of the OO and that the shares would be made available for trade at 8am this morning and confirmed the new volume of shares in issue as of 8am today. However other than the RNS I can’t find any company info about #shares in issue. E.g. LSE still states the previous share#. I knew from other posters comments that the return of monies for any requested excess may be delayed but had assumed that allotted shares I.e 1/22 would be made available for trade at 8am? Any one with HL got any feedback from them yet? I’ll call and ask when I get chance and post back any feedback.

Jonesy, are your OO shares now referenced in your HL account? In my HL, my request including the excess are showing and described as a corporate action with a reference number and all the monies have been taken from my account. I guess i’m trying to understand if this means I have been granted the total amount I asked for, or if I need to wait for the full process to take place? I understand that if the proposal isn’t approved on 21st then I have none, but trying to understand if my view is different to yours? I haven’t ever called HL as I do everything online but will do tomorrow if it’s still unclear. Either way only a week until we know the outcome.

Thanks for all the responses. Still not clear on how long we need to leave the funds untouched. I read that it had to be in place by noon on 15th as that is when HL closed the offer. But you then have the chicken and egg situation of the request for additional shares. I guess it is simple, don’t touch the funds until the 23rd when we should find out how many we get. Have I wrongly assumed that the requested funds for the OO equiv to the #shares you requested would be put in some kind of Escrow until the finalisation of the OO and the number of shares you will be permitted to purchase confirmed and issued on 23rd? Basically in my HL account I am still able to trade with the funds I placed for the OO and thought these would have been ringfenced by now. It is the same in my wife’s account. I know I can call them, but wondered if anyone knew what happens next relating to the monies? #beyondwoodsmith

For anyone looking to invest post St2 the ‘majority’ of financial risk should be covered. The company has also negotiated contracts with quality companies to deliver the construction. However as with any major construction project there are the associated risks of which there could be many. Some may be handled by how the contracts are structured, but there may be some that need additional support/funding to address. We simply don’t have the low level detail or facts, but any major construction project has risk and hindsight isn’t an option. Influencing others to take on the risk is different to explaining the opportunity and surely it is down to the individual to find the balance that is right for them. I personally believe the mine will be built, will be successful and will deliver a return, but throughout the next few years there will be SP volatility, some construction bumps and likely more twists and turns. In short this share is still a risk, but for me it’s one I’m happy with knowing full well that I have to wait some time for any decent return and a lot lot longer for a dividend, and if something disastrous happens potentially no return. #beyondwoodsmith (I like that hashtag).

Completely agree. The more I look at the dilution, the more I think about how worse it could have be with no deal. The jobs, the long-term prospects for the company all still exist, just that the shorter-term golden egg has been somewhat smashed. Still i’m happy to eat scrambled eggs in a few years time, may even get some smoked salmon too longer term! #beyondwoodsmith

I can’t see the OO details at the moment and wondered if someone can confirm the timescale for the OO, basically I’d like to know when you find out how many shares you ‘may’ be granted for purchase. I say ‘may’ as per my assumed timeline and understanding below as I guess until the vote on the 21st it is a request to purchase even the 1/22 not a guarantee: 1. You need to both request how many shares your would like to purchase under the OO by 15th of May. You also must make the funds available on the 15th also. 2. The OO proposal including the other St2 funding proposals are taken for approval in the company meeting on the 21st 3. I assume that on the 22nd the monies are transferred based on the outcome of the vote on the 21st and the deals are executed. 4. The shares both the OO and the other St2 shares are issued to the holders on the 23rd and thus ‘can’ be traded by the holder if they so wish. Hence when do we find out how successful our request is? We obviously will likely positive feedback on the St2 proposal on the 21st but at what point to we get individual feedback on our OO request? Is it not until 23rd when you see how many shares are in your account, or do we find out on the 22nd? Any informed feedback would be appreciated.

Seems that me there is a hell of a lot of community in this share and message board exactly because of the PIs. I for one have watched and read peoples stories over the past few years, but have only very recently started posting myself as without ever meeting anyone, I’ve been on a journey shared with many of the regular posters. The debates, some heated about differing opinions, the fun stories, the local posters who update on what they have witnessed as they drive past the mine. I also don’t have a trading, business or finance background and like reading as much from experienced posters when they try to model the company as much as I do from posters like Fred and her experiences and discussions with her other half. I also respect the people that post what they are going to do, what they did do and their reactions on the outcome. We are all in this to make some money and sharing some of that experience may be cathartic when we have lost money and invigorating when we have made some, but the net result is that the majority on this board want SXX to succeed. Come on SXX, get the bonds and build the mine, but if you could have a little blip so I can get some of my shares back before a rerate I’d appreciate it!

Pianists, ‘market’ was perhaps the wrong word, you’re right that they only get to the market if the holders want to sell. For a lot of LTH’s who haven’t taken any profits but who are taking up their OO and haven’t traded, maybe they will sell off their 1/22 to take a small profit and maintain their existing # shares. I don’t doubt that there are still going to be some more bumps, and I may choose to buy back in at a loss in the future based on real news, but I also still think (HOPE!) that between end of the month and securing the bonds there will be another opportunity for me to buy back my original holding without a loss. Only time will tell, but not overly concerned, more excited to see what happens over the coming months. I’ve made my bed, just hope it’s not too thorny, but either way I’m not going to lose any sleep. If this starts going like a train I still hold ~500k shares.

Duracell, There’s worries all over the place with this share. I still have circa ~500,000 shares but at the moment have converted my paper loss to a real one on another ~370k shares. You are right that the II’s should in theory just be waiting until the 23rd to pick up cheaper shares if that is going to happen. If not then yes, a little concerned that shares are being mopped up at this level when we’re 10 days away from another chunk hitting the market..... Can’t do hindsight trading, so just need to look forward to how many OO shares may be purchased and that all the current buys are PIs rather than IIs. Either way, what I have learnt from this share is whatever I do, I should have done the opposite....
