I doubt if there is any need for another independent consultant at this stage. It's only a matter of time before we get the MRE and that should settle the matter. It should be upward and onward from then on.

The sentence in question says;

The meaning of the sentence is absolutely clear. It is almost grammatically correct and there is no double negative in it.

A double negative is something that cancels each other out. The 'aren't and 'isn't' in the sentence don't cancel each other out

There is no difference in meaning between 'are not' and 'aren't' and they are both grammatically correct.

There you have it! You've hit the uncertainty on the head. Except when you think you've hit it, it moves.

I use the words if, possibly, perhaps and might all the time. Even when I'm sure, and, perhaps, if I'm not.

So, tomorrow, Empire's sp might go down. If it does, I'll possibly be ready to buy. If it goes up, I might be worth more than I am now.

The point is that none of us know for sure what is going to happen until it does. Anyone who says they are certain should be avoided.

Because they are demonstrating their lack of expertise.

Because, in situations where there aren't major disruptive events it can help you get ahead of the game.

If there is a major event that everyone knows about, such as an MRE, on its way, it doesn't work so well.

I was trying, unsuccessfully, to try and read the charts knowing that I have no idea what effect the MRE will have.

More fool me.

Perhaps someone more knowledgeable, like Dusty, might do better.

Cev. It's all down to whatever the MRE turns out to be

It looks possible that the chart may be heading downwards. If it does, and it falls below 50p to form an M pattern, that will be a sell signal because the sp might not recover. Possibly because the MRE is turns out to be a disappointment.

Some of you may remember the following that I posted first thing this morning

'A growing number of sells and the indicator candle chart shows an imminent drop. It will be the next stage of the 'W' that should, hopefully, be completed when the MRE is published and the sp goes up again to complete the 'W'.'

Today's events have proved me correct, although I'm sure most of you ignored me and some may have mocked me for my stupidity.

The sp did drop, just as I said it would. It wasn't a lucky guess.

The indicator chart clearly indicates that the sp may well drop again tomorrow.

Or it could be the other way around.

Tim. You need to look at the indicator chart. It's the one with the candles. The key to reading it is the wick sticking out of the candle. If the wick sticks out above the candle, it is likely that the sp will go up. If the wick sticks out below the candle it is likely the sp will go down. So you see it's very simple really..

Cev. I watch the daily sp movements in EEE but It wouldn't affect my life one iota if it didn't go up tomorrow. I am more concerned with where the sp might be in a year from now.

I'll stick my neck out and suggest the sp might might reach over 65p tomorrow.

I didn't panic previously. I bought on the last dip before this one. I managed to buy near the bottom then as well. Both dips improved the performance of my portfolio.

The sp is going back up so I'm in the money and I think the sp pattern is emerging.

Candles indicate the likely direction of the sp. Up, down or sideways.
