Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Got the same challenge Matt007.
Holding on as long as possible having been here a year. Can't grumble with the return, but boy it'll be a sickener if it drops the day after...
Hope tomorrow morning RNS ends up timed beautifully for you...
So the fund buying in on the 30th Nov could pull off the "luckiest" timing with their investment...
Are these funds purchasing strategies arbitrary, or do they invest on the same day year in year out. That is a potentially huge coincidence (?)...
There was discussion in the middle of last week about another NN board meeting to discuss "company transaction" on the 16th.
Was this correct and are we expecting anything to happen pre or post this meeting? Or is the inclusion of EUA onto the MSCI fund likely to imply that we are not going to hear anything about offer until after the 30th at the earliest...
It seems to have gone a little quiet on this board meeting, whereas the previous one created a certain amount of fervour.
@ Funkys - can’t get a mortgage, as self employed. Have asked all lenders, but no joy there. Would have been the simple solution.
It’s is safe advice talking to the boss about. To be fair, we have discussed a few times, so it’s not going to come as a shock.
Don’t worry Jiffy, I’m not going to toss a coin! although I think the point is tossing a coin often teases out the right decision.
Thanks again all. Will definitely look up borrowing against the shares. Not too sure that anyone is likely to lend against an AIM explorer looking to strike the deal of the century. I know I believe, it would someone who hasn’t done their research?
Thanks again all.
@Monkey - I understand I am in a very lucky position. It's not through having a lot in the first place. It's through picking this stock up early. That kind of makes it harder, as it would genuinely be a life changer for me if we went for £1 (as I believe it would be for many people).
@R1chardo - Yes, I hear you.
@Tricky - That is my current plan. It will work too, unless this spins out significantly into next year...
What a top bunch of humans giving some sound and sensible thoughts.
All valid responses. Thanks.
So, a deadline seems a sensible bit of thinking (as does speaking to an IFA). With that in mind, Ian, if you get a minute, please can you have me down for the 1st December. You will all hear an explosion of happiness from the West if this comes in then (or before!).
The correction is an interesting thought too and one I have considered. However, my lovely wife will not take us living in our rented for much longer. She is already starting to quote the Michael McIntyre "end of tether" comedy sketch.
Dear all,
I've been here a year or so now, and have really enjoyed the camaraderie and humour on this board especially (even more than GGP actually). We've been through the mill in the early part of the year with the suspension and then less so now, as although it would feel that we are in a holding pattern, at least we can get off the bus if required (as per Sunnynshare) or leave our holdings alone to look forward to the potential of this share.
So, I have a quandary that I would really appreciate some experienced advice. I have purchased a new house (as I have been in rented for the past 5 months with my family having moved across the country). The exchange is planned for Christmas and then completion end of Jan. It is our dream home and we are so lucky to have found it (it has been a full on battle to secure it). So, the quandary is that I can just (and I mean just) afford it if I sold up all of my shareholdings (including EUA) at the current SP's. However, as with Sunnynshare, I have a horrible feeling that the day after I sold, the RNS of all RNS's would land and the SP would go to x times the value instantly. Having waited over a year and having 600k+ shares, it would be heart breaking to not realise the full value of the EUA holding. So, the question is, what would you do in this position? Hold on and live in hope for the RNS and offer value to be realised before Christmas, or go safe and sell now, knowing that I could at least pay for the house (with nothing left). I would really appreciate any enlightenment at this point...Could I push back the exchange to buy more time? Worth doing?
Thanks for taking the time to read and respond if you do.
Mincho.
Could you explain this djm or Trift. Is this the "deal"?
Would seem strange if they had to keep it under wraps? Seems normal corporate governance?
A bit deflated this evening. Thought we were maybe actually going to find the end of this rainbow today.
Okay, so the Thyssen transaction and the one potentially being discussed tomorrow are two different M&A streams and the one tomorrow is mysterious potentially due to NDA's...which could point towards us.
Thanks for the clarity. It indeed does look interesting. One assumes that we will get to know before their meeting through an RNS (and potential suspension) if the agenda does indeed pertain to EUA. We, as shareholders, would surely be told about a potential deal before the acquirer right?
Thanks for the clarity guys.
