I commented on Tuesday that to cancel and delete was the whole point of buy-back. I believe that's what e.g. RYA does. However, I have found a company I was previously invested in, YCA, which does buy back then holds in treasury, I assume with a view to selling again. Even so, since ujo is an explorer and producer, and YCA is purely a commodity trader, I expect our model would be cancellation, if/when buy-backs start.

Personally I view buyback as the opposite or reversal of a placing. Once we needed more cash, created shares, diluting the existing. Now we have plenty of cash, can buyback and delete shares, concentrating the remaining.

There's a lot of cash; might not need to be either/or!
