Waiting game..11 Oct 2019 12:04
Lots of issues in play here at the moment and some might be a little more obtuse than just knowing the revenue figures.
With this contract ostensibly ‘in the bag’.. and yet the sp at sub-nominal value,.. if PF reveals too glowing revenue figures, who is to say that a hostile bid doesn’t come out of the wood-work. There is no big II to save us,.. and a decent offer may very well tempt a few PI’s to jump ship. A 50p offer now?… who’d take that? Quite a few I would imagine and given how many shares are in the hands of relatively few PI’s….?
We are expecting, and have been expecting news on many fronts for a long time now,.. including the renewal or extension to the our SL contract: WSG reported that we were operating at record numbers earlier in the year,.. so again,.. this must be going well.
Having put himself out in front of the cameras’ twice since the AGM,… I seriously don’t PF will do that again until they convert something really newsworthy…. and there are a number of contenders… West Africa, SL, Tema… etc.,
It’s still a patience game,… but at least we can see that the through put of ships at the new berths is ramping up as they had planned…. and each week waiting on the contract being signed,.. is a week closer to Berth 3 becoming operational at the end of Feb,… and TEU capacity increasing, they’ll need more staff and they’ll need more training…
The key info brought to our attention over the past weeks is that we are being paid for the TEU’s processed. That has, hopefully, put to bed the need for any further placings, which was always hanging over us. You would have thought that fact alone would have acted as a catalyst to the sp; but, so many false dawns has put paid to that.
So,.. we find ourselves where we usually find ourselves, waiting. The difference being,..that this time it would appear that the promised ‘jam tomorrow’ will one day reach us. It’s just when?
