Hungary increases Russian gas supply via South Stream31 Aug 2022 16:22
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto (pictured) announced on Wednesday that his country has reached an agreement with Gazprom on additional gas deliveries via the South Stream, that will come into force tomorrow, September 1.
Under the new agreement, the Russian energy giant will provide additional 5.7 million cubic meters of gas on a daily basis on top of what it already delivers to Budapest - around 12.3 million cubic meters of gas every day.
Previously, Hungary was the only one that opposed the European Union's gas reduction plan.
