The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Glad they’ve finally arranged a syndicate platform. Lloyd’s offers companies licences to transact in many territories without the overheads of having offices and staff there. The Probitas Syndicate certainly have been producing market leading results.
Underwriting discipline should result in lower claims. I’m really looking forward to BEZ final year results and the inevitable re-rate of this one.
This reduction in share price is a result of Beazley buying some products from Vesttoo. Beazley haven’t done anything wrong and will correct the issue very quickly. A reduction in share price is ridiculous. Insurance and reinsurance premiums trading on an all time high! Profits over the next couple of years will be huge.
Let’s be honest, nobody knows what could happen over the next few months. One thing we do know, airlines are charging much higher prices for air fares and customers are still paying. The feedback is that there is still huge demand for travel.
I expect the results to be much better than people realise and the share price to exceed £2.
Good luck everyone.
I was hoping to see £7. Fingers crossed everything goes to plan. GLA.
I guess there’s negative news on the horizon and the people who are in the know have been leaking information. This share just continues to fall.
Any ideas on what’s going on?
I thought the insurance industry was seeing huge rises in premiums?
The state of the share price and any potential raise should result in them caring.
The board need to start communicating because people, like myself, are getting rattled.
I’m my opinion this will continue to rise from now on. Whilst the biggest expense (jet fuel) is up, the price of fares have increased in a greater proportion. All the my colleagues, friends and family moan about the increased air fares but value their holiday or business trip too much and are still going away. Sometimes, despite the media’s message of doom and gloom, you need to look at the buying behaviour of people around you. I expecting this to be above £2 when the results are announced at the end of Feb. Good luck to all the honest and hardworking traders out there.
People in my industry travel to the U.S. very frequently and the price of business class seats are four times what they used to be (pre covid). Companies in the city are still paying for their staff to visit clients at these massively inflated prices. BA will have been smashing it over the last few months...
Results are out on Thursday.
Most of the insurance companies (who have posted their FY results) are posting record performances. I suspect the same will be said for BEZ.
I’ve been thinking exactly the same KiteFlying. Getting very fed up.
I've been holding EVRH, MVR, NAPS shares since around 2015. I kept topping up along the way and have subsequently lost a small fortune. I was torn on not selling and waiting it out but decided that the CEO has lied in the past and will do it again. Trust is everything and I do not trust the scum at the top. Good luck for all those that are going to hold. I sincerely hope it works out for you.
Someone will bump into Action Man one day…
I’m in the same position horsesgob. I can’t really see the point of selling the beans I have left.
I took minutes at some of the AGM's and they lied. They should be sued for that.
