Most PI shareholders wont vote anyway, probably 30% or so, so SP only need to get 50% of 70%, should be possible. So all in all it looks like MA will get Deb and use a loan as leverage for admistration, leave the shareholders with very little, if anything. Or his very generous offer will be rejected and Deb fall into administration, leaving with shareholders with nothing. Still there will still be some suckers who keep buying, even now. But will they participate in a vote?

I can't understand that the current board can't recognise their own incompetence. They should have resigned their positions months ago and begged Mike Ashley to take over and save them with a loan. It would be folly for shareholders to vote this down, its either this, or administration, surely.

Daniel, I think the most read thing over at Irv was "administration isn't in anyone's interests, no one wants it, so it won't happen", or words to that effect.
I'm not sure yet here, it does seem that MA really really does want Deb. Now he could potentially it from administration, but not necessarily pre pack. Pre pack could exclude him, as Coltrane were excluded from Irv.

Just a bit of perspective, only 67% of shareholders took part in votes at the AGM. Forgive me if I am talking out of term, buy why should shareholders be allowed to have an opinion on a message board, when they are unwilling to participate in using their voting rights? Seems rather hypocritical to me.

So Sports Direct own 27%, short positions are 10%, the last few days II's have disposed of say 8-10%, thats nearly 50% in itself.

Then there is the pension scheme and remaining long positions, I would imagine there is a large % of PI's, who famously make lots of noise on message boards but don't mobilise to participate in votes.

Being 'new' here, I wonder if the other 21249 posts have been as trite ?

As it happens Daniel did post a few times on Interserve and got it right, including setting one character straight who was claiming that D4E had been priced in (the same character claimed 24hours before Irv went into administration that he had knowledge of a deal being done and as close as 3 hours before Irv shares were suspend, claimed it would double in price). I digress, the point is you should show a bit more respect to the likes of Daniel, even if you don't like what he says, it is worth listening to.
