This is the problem I have with the Kier Living sale.

The language used seems quite clever because it appears optimistic but doesn't actually say that a bid has been received.

For example: 17th June, "...commenced a process to sell the business. In recent weeks Kier has received a number of inbound expressions of interest in Kier Living"

Think I said at the time, odd that expressions (note plural) of interest had been received PRIOR to the process of being put up for sale.

Then, more recently and the last mention of the sale of Kier on 19th Sept: "the sale of Kier Living is progressing well"

Again, progress being made but the question is; has a bid actually been made. And I would have thought that a bid would require an RNS release.

On that basis, one could assume that there is no bid.

Hardly old news if it was published today.

All these dates and values for the sale of KL- they are absolute stabs in the dark.
A few weeks ago there was someone saying the news of the sale would come "over the weekend", then the other day someone else was offering up "in the next month".
Now its by Christmas. But Christmas of what year?
Fact is, no formal news from BOD.
Seem to remember similar posts on the IRV board about sales which never materialised

Take your point, you are saying "winter risks" is a euphemism for "Brexit problems".
I'll accept that this is as you state.
However, with the cash burn as it was, this outcome was inevitable. The 200m security may have seen them through winter.

What then?

I can accept that Brexit may have been a tipping point, but really not the cause.
