I’m not necessarily saying early and I’m not necessarily saying JV. I’m saying it’s great that KAV will have options. Most explorers have very few or none, even after a decent find

For me the single most attractive thing about KAV is the likelihood that any sort of discovery (and possible even something promising short of a discovery) will lead quickly to a deal which enables KAV to realise value from it. It is a really common problem with small cap miners that they find something decent, the SP briefly spikes, and then the awful realisation sets in that the find is not quite exciting enough for anyone else to be interested and that the company itself will need years and years, and masses of new equity and debt, if it wants to prove it up further and exploit it. Cue dwindling share price. In fact, I would say this is perhaps the single most common outcome in junior exploration. I don’t think we’re going to have this problem at KAV. If we find something, there’s a deal out there to prove it up and exploit it, and we shareholders should make a lot of money. I don’t think the current SP in any way reflects this key difference between KAV and the average junior explorer

One thing’s for sure, he wouldn’t have written it if he wasn’t feeling absolutely confident that the share price will be significantly above 5.5p in 2 months’ time. If he had any doubts about that, why say it?

I’ve bought some more today. I can’t recall ever seeing anything quite like BT’s “you’ve backed the right man” tweet. I know we don’t know precisely what he’s talking about. But we know how he’s feeling. And he has seen two more days of drill core than we have

They have the money for the KCB but as I understand it they don’t have a second rig or the people to operate it?

Could be a deal (of whatever type) for an extra drill rig or two so we can start on the KCB in parallel. The cash position could be relevant to that

Doesn’t look like bad news to me. “KAV is undergoing a major overhaul” doesn’t sound like a snapped drill rod or similar. Fingers crossed it’s something really good!

Yes, it has gone down a lot. But THS is still highly profitable and one way of looking at the Rh price drop is that in terms of possible future developments there is now more room on the upside

Rhodium isn’t down today, let alone 15%. It’s flat on JMAT and up on Kitco

For the uninformed, the RNS is not worded in a very inspiring way. Basically says “the land has been sold to someone else and we’re talking to them”. Progress to those who understand, but perhaps not likely to capture a big wider market. The next RNS, if it’s what we hope, should be very different. Good opportunity now for those taking an active interest

Thanks. I haven’t invested as much as before as I don’t see today’s news as the key event by itself. But I didn’t want to risk missing the boat. If news flow stays positive I will continue to buy.

My guess is we will end up with a JV with the buyer of the land, which is fine. It’s dilutive of Corcel’s interest in the project but, as the MAST comparison shows, the key for Corcel is not the size of the projects or the size of its interest in the projects, but the progression of the projects

I wonder whether you can get the identity of the buyer from the Land Registry yet. If it’s that Pigeon lot I think that’s highly relevant when considering what their approach is likely to be. Interested to know the answer if any of you find out

I think it’s more that there’s not much to talk about the moment. That’s not a bad thing - the company is getting on with making shedloads of money. Rhodium price down, chrome price up, market still not seeing the value of Tharisa as we all see it (but will do at some point). That’s it really.

Should get some news about Vulcan and/or Karo soon and then we’ll have something to talk about!

My hypometer is not very scientific but when I keep hearing quantities of metal in the ground referred to by the value they would have if already mined and processed, and when someone keeps comparing an undrilled magnetic anomaly to one of the biggest discoveries of recent times, the needle does tick up!

I evaluate the substance by looking at presentations and RNSs, of course.

I think this is a case of no news is good news. They were planning to go deep with this one so it is plausible they’re still going or just wrapping up. Also, people don’t like to RNS on a Friday if they can help it. News on Monday, I reckon

Entertaining stuff from Align. The three FGS projects cost between them well under £1 million. Corcel has so far added no value to them. Align’s valuation of those same three projects? £97m. Hmm…

Corcel may be undervalued, but I wouldn’t pay too much attention to the “research” of the ultra-conflicted broker!
