Decent day today. I’m currently in what is always a very enjoyable spot with this share, which is that I have enough shares that if it goes up I’ll be happy, but equally if we have a little retrace I’m feeling confident enough to add more and I’ll be happy with that too!

Fair point, although it clearly means tripling or more, and on a 1-year time scale as stated it’d be churlish to suggest that 3/4 bags were not enough and we should have had 20! “Normal” investments return 0.02 to 0.1 bags per annum. If we have an SP of 5p at year end I’ll be very happy. And that’s not to say we couldn’t have more

If the board can get FGS going and maintain progress on the nickel we could see multi bags this year. And more still if we can get the nickel projects into production. And why not? Low capex, offtake partner lined up, nickel supply crunch looming…

Parkboy, agree with much of that, insofar as explorers are always to some extent in a race between progress towards monetisation and cash burn. What makes UFO different from many for me, though, is that with UFO I just can’t see the race being lost outright. It may be won more or less convincingly, but it will be won - that’s my view (based largely on Hammersley)

If it doesn’t complete in Q1, nobody will believe it anymore and the share price will be back to 0.55. Just look at what happened with sister company Kazera. “We’ve done this amazing deal”, “Cash hasn’t come in yet but still expected”, “There’s a delay but we still expect the cash”, “We’re in ongoing discussions”, silence…

Luckily Kazera have managed to move towards profitable production without external finance so all may be well there. But the price went down plenty during the period when people were realising the finance deal wasn’t going to happen

Looks to me like two sells, one buy, one not sure. Doesn’t matter either way anyway. It’s not like anyone can have material inside info at this point, since the drill is only just getting going again. So it’s just misc buying or selling - who cares

I thought the interview was alright. John came across as a bit less focussed than Ben, but that’s ok - his role is not really to present. They were not very specific about plans for the year, but I wouldn’t want them to have decided everything at this point, when they don’t yet know what developments there will be. And in terms of John seeming to hedge a bit about what the B1 conductor might be, I think the key point is he kept emphasising he’s a geologist not a geophysicist, and he hasn’t got any rocks from B1 to look at yet, so the key point for him is he has to wait to see the rocks but is confident in any event they’ll be interesting and provide valuable leads.

All good for me, save perhaps that it would have been better not to trail the interview as laying out plans for the year if really it was about introducing John, which is how it mostly came across

Wistful, I agree, this year is pushing it! But this news gives us a much clearer and more plausible path to get there, and moreover to do so reasonably quickly. What I’m hoping is that at the point of going into production the nickel operation justifies say £100m of market cap (20 bags from here, ignoring FGS). If production is, say, two/three years away, with various landmarks along the way, we should see that 20-bag happen over that period - not at an even rate, but as the landmarks are passed. If it plays out that way, that will be just fine :-)

Well, we don’t know, except that we presumably do know it wasn’t a PDMR. All sorts of possible reasons why somebody might need a lot of money fast, and it would be very hard to realise over £400k quickly on the open market

Feeling very good about Mike Moles’ massive buy. My take is that, although the buy probably does indicate confidence in the current drill, the main thing it indicates is confidence that we’re moving solidly in the right direction *irrespective* of the current drill. A geo of Mike’s experience isn’t going to have gambled £400k on a single drill. He surely is taking a broader view that actually this company is not a gamble at current price levels. Nice to see a director thinking that way!

Yes, not surprising it drops a little back. Could motor up again though once the initial sellers are out. I agree this is not a time to try to trade the rise. The peaker RNS could be any day

Price seems to be dropping a bit now. People who have wanted out for a while (for whatever reason) taking the opportunity. Fine by me, I will buy more if I get the chance lower down. Good news is good news
