Ah, knock it off, Cox - Ben’s investor relations are second to none. It’s not all about persuading people to buy, it’s also about enhancing the experience of current shareholders (which in turn will tend to persuade people to hold). Your theory that people sell in response to comms from Ben which they perceive as overly positive is totally potty. I do agree that it is now a case of waiting for the drill bit

Well, we’re clearly down today because the whole sector is down on Ukraine fear. Some examples from my watchlist (none of which have anything to do with Russia and none of which had an RNS this morning):

Pensana: down 10%
Tharisa: down 6%
Power Metal: down 7%
Xtract: down 6%
Rambler: down 6%
Corcel: down 11%

Kav doing well to be up today, most miners and explorers getting crucified, presumably on Ukraine speculation (although I’ll confess I’ve never understood why something like that would be particularly relevant to the prospects of miners/explorers in other parts of the world - irrational market in my view)

I’m comfortable with my position and risk but am thinking about possible outcomes. We all know what happens if they hit massive sulphides and we all know what happens if they hit nothing. But what if they hit, say, magnetite with disseminated or blebby chalcopyrite and xrf gold, pointing like an arrow at the base of the GRS? Suspect the market would take that as a bad result, but it might actually be another indicator of something even better than hoped

Yes, if we DSO it then the buyer would do the processing, I believe. But perhaps using this sort of method. Also, once we’re up and running on a DSO basis, we could expand into doing some processing ourselves

Ramping may be annoying or pointless but it’s not counterproductive in the way that I’m highlighting. The converse of what I’m talking about would be someone who had shorted the stock ramping it

For those who are invested here and want the share price to rise, may I suggest that stinking up the board with aimless doom and gloom about the share price is not the best way to attract new investors. When I’m considering buying into a new small cap miner or explorer, I do “take the temperature” of the discussion boards and if they’re full of people whinging it does put me off. I’m sure others are the same. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying people shouldn’t post critical or negative comments - no issue at all with smiller saying we should be focusing on DSO, or with people saying the placing was poorly timed, or anything like that. But if you’ve got no particular point to make and are just venting about the share price, it’s not only pointless but counterproductive. Just my opinion!

He is great, isn’t it. It makes a real difference to have a natural presenter doing these things, rather than some dusty geo who (despite what may be great skill in the field) really isn’t cut out or trained for it

I believe our nickel ore is laterite, which doesn’t immediately produce Class 1 nickel. However, as the article states, there are processes that can be used to convert it. And inevitably, as dwindling nickel sulphide resources increasingly fail to keep up with demand, the focus on processing laterite into Class 1 has to increase

Tucson, the plan has been to get to cash flow positive without a raise. There are two variables with that - how long to be cash flow positive, and whether there are options apart from a raise to bridge the gap. As to the first, we know from RNSs from Sept onwards that we are making more money from diamonds than before, and we should also now be selling tantalum. So we may now be cash flow positive, in which case no problem. As to the second, I think GC and NH have indicated a willingness to bridge the gap with loans and warrant exercises

Obviously no reason for markets to be unimpressed but, as proven here this morning, some investors either don’t understand what the RNS means or try to second guess that others may take an irrational dislike to it. So this may explain a little drop. Since any drop on this basis is irrational, it represents a buying opportunity.

Alternatively, it may be that the SP went up the last couple of days and has just drifted back a bit, ie nothing to do with the RNS

Certainly we should drill B1 first (we are) and shouldn’t do a deep drill into the centre of the GRS without good reason. On the other hand, if there was an IOCG with dimensions 7km x 7km x 1km (=150 billion tons of ore), I would like to know!

944, this is an exercise of warrants, not an issue of warrants - the company hasn’t made a decision which anyone can defend or not; all that has happened is a warrant-holder has decided to convert warrants to shares before losing the right to do so. All very unremarkable

Although they don’t say “IOCG”, do we think that’s what they’re investigating?
