Any Windfall tax will be passed on .
You have to add it to fuel or Exxon etc will be laughing all the way to the bank

Chitty I agree totally Oil will be around for a long time,and hope the same can be said for BP( and also for us).
Think BP having a foot in both camps is fine as long as they make money

The more streams of revenue that don’t directly relate to oil price the better the future should be,and low oil price becomes less of a worry

BP just put out a comment on Reuters that Fast chargers are on cusp of being as profitable as filling up with fuel.
When that happens it’s the start of a new revenue stream,not directly linked to oil price.
A lot of solar from light source BP comes on line in next 2-3 years which again would be another new revenue stream

At results time it really comes down to if it’s already baked into the price, or if something material changes with how they handle all this cash.
eg they could decide at this sp to change balance between div and buyback as not getting as big a bargain
No one knows when a rebalance as above will happen, but if you are out when it happens you will miss massively

New buybacks helping keep a rising sp to rise.

It’s noted that gasoline supplies are building,but they always build at this time of year,prior to any shutdowns in the gasoline plants to get them ready to go full blast in American driving season

I was wondering what lth was but worked out that it means Long term Holder.
There have been times it was very easy to predict a up and down cycle as there were ranges.but not sure if that is still true.
If you get it right it’s good but if you are not in the market just now the potential is there to miss very big
Also think that London market for BP s now leading and not just following USA

Just noticed that BP have announced another 0.5 b dollar buy back to be completed by 7 th Feb ,don’t know if it forms part of previous buyback or is additional,but must be positive affect on rising sp

Just realised after I posted that probably can find out what I want on Flight Tracker.
But just wondered if it was first signs of aviation coming back.

Genuine Question
Over the last 4weeks have been seeing a lot more airplanes in sky than last 2 years.
Live between Glasgow and Edinburgh airports.
Have seen 4 planes in sky at same time.
Are others seeing more planes again or is this just a local Christmas blip?

If Oil price goes to 100 dollars any WT will be very easy to afford.
On another note.
For a couple of weeks I have had a nagging feeling BP are about to do something major(like when they did 10b dollar shale deal) .
It’s been a while since they have done anything big and when you listen to BOD they are so confident and talk about a cash cow etc.
Of course my nagging feeling may turn out to be only wind but time will tell

There were calls for BP to be windfall taxed in
2005 then again in 2008 and again in 2011
BP is an easy target,but how do you get Exxon or other foreign companies?

BP and Shell have dealt with a windfall tax in the past the reality is that it will be passed onto the consumer just like last time.
It really will not help inflation which is already a problem as it will affect everything

One thought I had was we just recently got in a new head of renewables who had a very good track record.
I am kind of waiting on her first BIG announcement ,which will really announce her arrival.
