I know when I am on sites like Seeking Alpha, the comments pages have a very anti BP bias.

I understand the value gap to our peers,but

Since we are already listed in the US and it s named daily on here for dragging down sp on opening why would moving our main listing to US make such a difference.

Genuine Question , can someone answer.

Personally if we moved to US I probably sell BP, since if I wanted an American Oil company I would have bought one.

But that’s my view.

It’s only the scale of these things and injecting them into old oil fields instead of to maintain pressure in producing oil fields that has changed.

Would add one other though if Chevron came in with a bid of £5.25 + 20% = £6.30,

I think that would make Exxon take a big look so it’s got to be way over that to stop a bun fight for BP.

But still not expecting a bid.( but if there is to be one let’s have a real fight for it)

But then I sure was not expecting the Looney resignation either.

I don’t expect a takeover, but there is a small window of opportunity until the new boss arrives and the sp hopefully increases.( at least if we pick the right one).

As for price I am on record previously as £8 for Shell or £10 for an American company.( that’s my price)

I believe with the earnings we are currently making we should be £6.

A 30% up from there takes us within touching distance of £8

After Tuesdays Bernard moment, I’m just pleased we are still above £5.

I know you expect this from me anyway, but I definitely would not sell, as some

( but almost definitely not all) will make BP lots of money at some time.

Think if we were spin off, would not go with 100% BP owned,would either try to get a 50:50 joint venture with a renewable company.

Or else get at least 25% from one of those looking to do green stuff.

Either way some of the money they invest would fund the new company going forward.( rest to shareholders as a one off special div)

BP would then no longer be expected to fund them.

I am sure someone will tell me why this would not work

Where is BP SAF production?

To achieve these volumes bp recently announced plans to deliver five biofuel projects focused on SAF across the globe: Kwinana in Australia, Rotterdam in the Netherlands, Castellón in Spain, Lingen in Germany and Cherry Point in the US. By 2030 we expect these plants to produce around 50,000 barrels per day.

Seriously suspect the infrastructure does not exist for this to be brought in in only 2 years.

I always hoped he was the man for the job, and after the early gaffs, would grow into it.

But it’s totally self inflicted, so don’t think there is much sympathy out there.

I’m not sure exactly where he even goes next , not many oilers will take him, and little chance in the green camp

Many many years ago it was almost a right that if you worked for BP ,if a member of your family applied for a job, they would be more likely to get it.

My sister was keen on a typing job advertised.

I got her the paperwork to apply.

She did not get an interview as too many of the clerical staff were related to other employees.

They wanted someone who with no relatives within BP for confidential issues.

The girl who got the job 3 years later married one of the guys I worked with, so interwork relationships within BP are not unusual.

It’s the telling porkies the board did not like.
