Totally agree that it is a long play, hence I am using the market drops to average down. Quant funds such as Qube are happy to put the squeeze on and use the momentum to profit to the downside. Analysts are all over the shop and to be honest are a waste of space.

Broader market needs a catalyst to rise to break the shorts cycle. It’s easy to trade the downside momentum unfortunately at the minute. November/December is traditionally a nice turn around time for markets. If yields come back in a bit and earnings can show that higher rates are being absorbed then maybe markets catch a bid

Until then, adding on the dips is the strategy for me

It’s reassuring to know that the majority of shorts are down to momentum trading rather than fundamentals.

When the tide turns eventually - it always does particularly at this time of year the fun and games will truly begin.

As frustrating as it is to watch now - i am selling my winners to go deeper than I would like into the shorted names. Timeframe is medium term so I don’t mind particularly when this could turn into a power play between MA and Kamani

Battle between shorts and MA at this stage with a touch of market weakness aiding the short position

After achieving this milestone it is very disappointing that the board have overseen the collapse in the SP in the last month without addressing the weakness. Market volatility is insufficient to merit the daily drop. This is either trackers exiting or shorters attacking.

It’s time for the board to act or we drop back out of the 250. London market really is an awful place to invest.

So with shorts knee deep and Mike soaking up the stock, at what point do those whom are lending the stock (institutions) turn off the taps. Up until now Fraser group have taken a stake in companies to take advantage of a broader recovery. However shorts could be pushing Boo into his hands on the cheap and he may not be able to resist the big prize.

The large trades are most likely steven diggle. His exposure and support to the company got as high as 14%. I would suggest the monetary value of his holding as a percentage of his fund is breaching risk management controls. He will be a prudent but reluctant seller until his compliance team are happy.

The Shares are being picked up which is great and is underpinning the SP, take this weight off (when he finishes) and the sp will go north again.

I’ve added more today as I have no idea when Diggle reaches a level that suits - future is very bright

So what has materially changed in the last month that merited a price target reduction like that. You would almost think the game is rigged in favour of shorters.

When we get back to £3 they will raise the target to £4.50

Further director buys would go along way to reversing the down move

At 2.01. This is getting very cheap now.

Someone is using the broader weak sentiment and shorting this and hopefully the company will come out to address the slide some time soon.

For a medium to long term investment these entry points are for me too good to miss.

His Fund will be over-exposed after the share price movement. This is literally creaming off some profits for risk management purposes. It also has increased the free-float, albeit I'm sure other funds were happy particularly small cap biotech funds to take the holding as a block.

The free float is low relatively low and the chances are that Investment trusts/OEICs have been forced sellers in most UK stocks to fund redemption requests as investors capitulate and move into deposits offering 5.5% no risk.

As such the UK market has seen a steady grind lower. Question is at what point does this open up UK plc to takeover targeting rom US PLC - low valuations and weak pound makes the proposition very attractive.

Directors are exercising their options and retaining their holdings at almost 40% higher than the current levels. Top ups at these levels are bringing down my break even points so hopefully the rebound is as sharp as the sell-off

Glad I did a bit more research than the first time around and rebuilt a position.

I wont be giving these away this time. This should be just the start of the journey higher in the share price.

Steady flows of similar news-flow and the appreciation from here could be significant

Was too quick to take the trade on this a few weeks ago. Didn’t really understand the magnitude of the news. The hospital insurance code news is good enough validation for me.

The pull back opens up an opportunity to rectify my mistake.

I have started taking a decent position.

Whoever is long here are focused on the end game. Day traders have been flushed and £1.50 look to be a good base to push back to £2 from.

Market makers taking the day traders out of the equation before we restore above the baseline and push on.

There will be traders who have sold and want to get in lower again and they will be vocal and hope for the snowball lower effect. However there are also those of us who will top up on drops and happily take on the risk

One of these days whoever is lending stock will decide that MA is getting enough cheap shares.

Shorts may be playing the downside momentum but the pendulum is swinging back the other way as the free float is tightening.

Any market momentum created by a ceasefire in Israel, a positive start to U.S. earnings season or a weakening of the dollar could prove a tailwind for the broader market.

At this point a long position looks the percentage call over the short side for a sharp move higher.

Analyst are full of hot air. 30 years in the game and still wondering why people listen to them.

I guess closing sub 30 was sufficient for some of the shorts.

Such negativity on the board suggests it is swamped by shorts. No wonder the Sp has been hammered down

Question is has the weak guidance been already priced in and has this mornings dip give MA the opportunity to soak up the shares that have been sold off?

When to pull the buy trigger?

Avacta will be gone long before 2026 but the technology will live on and create history

The question is at what price will we be bought out. Hopefully the share price rises a good 200% before any deal is announced and then we can ponder multi billion pound buyouts with confidence
