Isn’t fund raising what we’ve been waiting for? The fact that it was quick, oversubscribed and at a small discount to the SP means that there’s a lot of support out there

NAV now over 70p - it’s been a while since we saw 70p
Still a huge discount in the SP for a fund which is not top heavy in any of its holdings

Good to see some positive action this morning.
There is bound to be more and more interest in alternative sustainable power production, and it won't all be wind and solar. Tidal and wave alternatives will surely come on once the science and technology iron out current problems on cost etc. Especially tidal power with the regular daily movement 4 times a day
I'm still in here for the long term but I don't expect any quick return unless there is a takeover, which is quite possible as large energy companies seek to move from oil into non-carbon production

Discount to NAV is now c33% so surely the financial argument for closure and liquidation of the Fund is indisputable

Maybe some of those who have bought shares today will tell us why. Maybe the herd instinct but only a tiny fraction traded

Should we not have received an official notification that the CEO had purchased 98million shares from Toscanini and is therefore a holder of more than 3%.?
As for the dividend, I wonder if the Irish registered holders received theirs? Monday was a bank holiday

It saves me an awful lot of rubbishy readings as the vast majority of contributors are like you and can’t be bothered. I’m not saying that your views are rubbish as I don’t read them. Sorry

Interesting that the 2 of you state that you have "No Opinion" It doesn't take much to tick the relevant opinion box, if indeed , you have one

It seems that if the vote to liquidate the fund goes through,shareholders will get a 20% uplift with the NAV above 60p even allowing for costs of liquidation. As the shares held in the Fund are relatively widely disbursed there should be very little discount to to the market price
The Board is likely to recommend that the Fund stays open. Why? Or is that a too obvious question? The Fund Managers have had a disastrous record, unless of course the Board overruled their recommendations. If the vote to continue goes through we will probably be back to a substantial reduction in the SP. So the vote seems to be a no brained; make 20% or lose 20%

At last a bit (not a lot) of trading activity and an upward trend in the SP

What about a rights issue to existing shareholders at 1p?
