take a 29.9% holding and maybe a directorship whilst considering a full takeover at a cheap price. The tidal side of the business is healthy and should be revenue positive

A buyer could come in for 29.9%, with other non-concert parties taking up the balance of 13%, without having to make a bid for the whole Company. The Receiver won’t be expected to explore all possibilities to dispose of his shareholding but is obliged to get the full price available. It’s up to the brokers to arrange a placing if possible.
As I see it, here is an opportunity for a major investor to take a substantial holding at a cheap price

As Jai Baba says, the UK would be unlikely to continue exporting plastic waste; anyway, who would take it?
If it doesn't, what will the UK do with it? Bury it or convert it into energy?
We have planning permission to convert it into energy; we are simply waiting for permission to transport and store it.
And we've got proven tidal creating power and some of the best locations in the world to harness those tides.
I'm still a strong supporter of Simec and consider us as a takeover or joint venture target for some of the large fossil fuel enterprises who want to diversify in accordance with climate change targets. Still very cheap in my opinion

To give OF his fair due, it seems from the Judgement that the solicitors steered him to the tax avoidance scheme based on counsel’s opinion. I would think that the costs involved probably came to c250k on top of the stamp duty of 250k
The Courts don’t like avoidance schemes; better to play by the rules as they are intended rather than to seek to justify actions which may be legally alright but not morally. Look at Cameron and Cummings

I agree with Strangy. My interest and investment have been on the tidal operations and I treat the Uxsmouth planning problems as a sideshow. Okay, if this works out it’s a good bonus, but in the meantime we can concentrate on developing the tidal business which is a proven success and has enormous national and international future prospects We haven’t heard of any bad news concerning the Japanese installation but it would be good to have an update on that. Bad news travels faster than good news so I’m sure we’d have heard if there had been any malfunction
I think we’re hugely undervalued and at least a prospective takeover target for a large energy company which is trying to diversify out of fossil fuels

Hopefully we have established a low price of 1p.
