It is very much the same simec. I also agree with sb1987 that the ongoing hassle with uskmouth is having a bad influence on our main and proven operations with tidal power - and share price

So, 2 years on what updates have there been? Expected to be operational in 2024 and costing c200 million? Cornelius has gone. I think that if this were still being considered we would have heard a lot more about it
I’m still optimistic about Simec but would like some good news soon

A move to the development stage could simply mean making a start to applying for planning permission which might take years and certainly no guarantee that permission will be granted
Good luck to those of you who have been long term investors; I gave up a while ago after more than 20 years, just salvaging a little of my original investment after one of those regular optimistic RNS

Whilst restrictions may be imposed concerning the exploitation of any discoveries, there may also be a problem if there is a warmer winter and the ensuing delay in building the ice road and its shorter period of use.
There are obviously considerable risks in investing in fossil fuels but if one has obtained a licence to drill there is a reasonable expectation that one may develop the outcome

I’m not sure that the proposed Uksmouth power station is contrary to this statement, but I think the market concentrates too much onUksmouth rather than the proven performance in the tidal operations

I haven’t seen the Phoenix article yet, but the RNS is excellent

Seems to be plenty of demand up to 1.40

and I have averaged down over the years to 11p , so still showing a very significant loss. I originally bought in at over 30p!

A lot has happened in the intervening 3 years, but I am still optimistic

Hugely disappointing RNS. Following a year’s consideration we have been told that legally the decision should be made by the Welsh Government after all
The government may be quicker in coming to a decision? Jobs etc. More pragmatic? If I had more cash I’d be Increasing my holding here

Very depressing that the accounts have not been published yet. I'm afraid that the COVID excuse for the delay does not wash with me. What about unaudited results to give us some idea? The newly appointed directors cannot be too pleased

The interim accounts show " total equity attributable to owners of the Company of 67,427m" as at 30 June 2021 and yet the mkt capitalisation is 14m; and we've had an injection of 2.6m this week
It will be interesting to see which "non-core assets" will be sold off. What about Uskmouth for a start?
