RE: A Sleeping Lion11 Jan 2022 11:27
Here we go again. The so called financially impacted by CK’s inability when in truth they are paid derampers sitting behind their desks digging up one negativity after another. What a soul destroying task. Then there’s the over enthusiastic rampers.
FACTS
1. COVID 19 is the here and now and it is going to be around for a long, long time. Some in the scientific world have reported with upcoming variants the public will still require to be vigilent anywhere from 4 – 6 years. As such testing is going to be around for a long time
2. Avacta’s test appears to be less sensitive to the Omicron variant. ODX Ag test is developed around the Nucleocapsid Protein which is stable, not affected by the variant AND it has a high degree of specificity and sensitivity. Overall highly accurate.
3. Even if BJ does cancel FREE tests, which is highly likely, there is still a large population of key workers, essential workers, those traveling, those attending large events who will all require to be tested well into the future. Hence, the DAM contract. My prediction, for what it is worth, BJ will in the short term cancel FREE testing only to resurrect after a few weeks, due to increased numbers of infections, hospital admissions, the impact on the economy and bowing to public pressure. The words of HMG, “We must keep the economy open.”
4. Chinese tests have reportedly now been banned in India, Ireland, Spain and other countries are beginning to follow suit. The increase in demand will IMHO see further contracts for ODX. They may well be a sleeping lion.
If I was CK, I would be chasing the CTDA to see how my application is progressing. This is the green button BUT be cautious! ODX may just surprise us all and receive Emergency Use Approval from the FDA in the US. Working with Lansdown Strategic Capital, they will advise not to put all their eggs in one basket and be actively encouraging contracts out with any HMG involvement.
I would urge you all to refrain from any knee jerks but to be rationale and examine solid facts.
