Going into the new year MVR are going to be a company with a revenue stream of c. £100M instead of £100,000
That's a good thing.
Given that MVR/Napster are small player, I simply ask, how hard can it be for Nikki Lambert and a re-energised Napster team to double up the revenues ?
Does anyone think the sp will change when the Napster deal completes
Despite the drop yesterday it seems to me that there is an appetite for the shares at this price level, ie pre Napster completion.
Yes my screen runs red with "sells" but that just means that there is a complimentary "buy" and to my eye each time there is a long run of "sells" the price is not dented at all.
Not wishing to start a ramping type rumour (well maybe I am) but is someone out there doing a bit of accumulating ???
I do wonder if the price will finally rerate a bit on formal completion of the Napster deal.
Not wishing to rain on anyone's parade, but....
Their track record is not to give facts and figures for events that they broadcast, so I do not believe they will give anything on downloads, live streams, or otherwise for the LG transmission.
They might go as far as to say "it was a great success"
Or if they are feeling really bullish they might go for "our most successful event so far"
henry97, the AGM will be a rubber stamp exercise, it will not be an investor Q&A
The principals have done events where Q&A was possible, in the past, but not for quite some time now
I think one is due
You have to wonder what on earth was the point for John Gore
Toppling Spotify is a fine aspiration, but I think momentum needs to be built from where they are now
Yes, there is a great team onboard, and maybe it has been built to ultimately take Spotify on, or be sold to them
However, Napster have been targeting business to business use, and if I remember this was also an aspiration that was part of the original MVR prospectus - maybe being the "power behind" is the true alignment and is really what they are chasing
Maybe they will be one of these mega companies that nobody knows about
Rumfuddle - Spotify is not the only game in town
A quick Wiki and you will see 34 music streaming services listed
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_on-demand_music_streaming_services
Many do not disclose their user numbers
Many have more more paying subscribers than Napster
There is lots of space for MVR/Napster to move into
You would think that it won't take much of a push to double up the subscriber numbers, considering the management team onboard, but this has been said before a 'few' times
I do wonder how long the Napster deal was in gestation as it would undoubtedly have affected their marketing if they thought\knew it was coming
I might be mistaken, but I suspect that fun and games are being played
The spread is too wide and causes all trades to go through indicated as sells.
When very large trade goes through the market doesn't move one way or the other
something not quite as it should be.
If it really is 16 million shares sold to 4 million bought the price should be on the floor by now

It says that only a General Meeting is required to approve an RTO and there are a number of requirements for admission documents.
The timetable for when things have to happen is unclear to me, although it would seem that you don't get an infinite amount of time to do things
Jimi, as Horatio Nelson once said "England accepts......."
TheBadBat - did you copy/paste your post on Friday at 13:58 from 3 years ago ?
MVR may not be setting the world alight on Twitter, but their numbers have recently ticked up by a small amount after being static for a long time - same for Instagram
Whoever said underwater is a bad place to be !!
Think I will be sleeping a good sleep tonight !
Going up
To me it seems like MVR will be a company that has a annual revenue which has jumped from £200K to £75M ($100M)
The debt of $44M is significant, but the creditors have allowed the repayment can to be well and truly kicked down the road and so will not put the squeeze on the company. How long they will wait until putting their hand only the BoD knows.
In the meantime revenue from Napster will probably meet most of the current running costs which gives them time.
Bojo on C4 news jyst now, states 'we are making progress with a UK made lateral flow test, but we are not there quite yet', and the interviewer does not pursue any clarification. Good old C4 investigarive work
I might be hopeful, but I do believe that going from being, by definition, a small business to a mid sized, or medium sized business overnight (Yes, I do realise that the "overnight" here is more than 3 months.) would normally warrant an increase in the share price, whether this is sustained or not is a different question.
For those that think the share price will drop because they are fed up with having their money tied up, I simply say that this is what everyone, bar the few day traders caught on the wrong foot, has been waiting for, so our illustrious LTH's may sell, but I suspect that they will hold, for the most part, to see where the ride goes.
Jimmy, do you not think the bargain with KPMG is that they audit the supply chain and assist with any rectification needed, then become auditor (because they are happy with their own work) and get to charge more or less whatever they want to put BOO where it has to be
