Yes the cost cutting is set to take place which should shave £30m on overheads. Also good to see the CEO stump up £2m. He has been in post 3 years and he has just invested almost all his net income - doesn’t take Einstein to work out he knows this will do well……..might also be the fact he knows what Shawbrook’s offer was!

Failed expectations…..yes, but take into account lost time due to Covid and FDA’s priorities being elsewhere through that period as well. Product line moving forward and in Lupuzor there is a genuine product that can help individuals and is a multi billion pound market. At 2p these are worth having as when the trials commence/ progress you will probably be multiples higher and if the results please all parties then you are looking at well over £1 I feel. I have been holding and adding for well over 5 years so I am a bit of a IMM maxi - but the reason why I invested was because this is something close to my heart.

It certainly can be. We have certainly overcome some massive hurdles but I feel we are getting closer to dreamland

Mortgage book sale to be announced…….could see another run higher

I sold a chunk at 57p this morning hashtag and bought here twice today…….looking like it wants to breakout higher……

Well for what it’s worth I think that the overhang on the shares have cleared and we should finally see this move higher. Seen lots of chatter on pricing and from these levels you should be looking at 8p - 10p, but if we finally secure FDA approval then 50p +

Depending on the overall valuations, but the clouds appear to have cleared and the market likes the news. Not sure the shorters do at the minute

Will no doubt see, but the deal no doubt saved my bacon and bank balance - I’m certainly happy now, but this time on Wednesday it looked messy - glad the board and bond holders and major shareholders thrashed out a solution. My only gripe is not being advised of the proposed offers tabled by Shawbrook last month

I dont know where some get there stories from. My thought process was that at 57p it did very well and selling just over half my holding I could recycle that money if the sp started to drop back. The chartist in me (don’t laugh) sees a few gaps in the 40’s so if my numbers hit I’ll buy. If it doesn’t I have the rest of my holding which is sitting pretty at the average I hold them at.

Well is 57p now…..so not many saw that rebound, indeed a little luck but understanding what the deal means overall

54.5p - bottom today may well be 47/48, but well done all those who stood ƒirm

85k shares and its done well - but not thinking we wont have a shake, but certainly better than saying its going to open at 30p or less

Wait for this story to break…….the deal is still being considered and it looks like NatWest will buy 1/3 mortgage book……well done holders!

The Times earlier reported:

Metro Bank is holding talks with bondholders and shareholders to secure fresh financing this weekend. Shawbrook is thought to be waiting for the outcome of these before deciding on whether to make a fresh approach about a takeover, the Times reported.

The newspaper also said that Metro Bank's advisers are thought to be exploring the potential for interest in a takeover from other parties.

This deal could be be the first piece of a bigger puzzle?
