Haha I don’t think nobody here really does pal. We had a takeover offer by Carlyle a few months ago and the numbers based on account margins are improving. The business threw out a profit. Therefore anyone thinking that they won’t return nor an alternative offer come in is delusional. I’m not a Metro maxi by no stretch of the imagination and I genuine felt 66p was a steal. Today getting some at 37p I’m over the moon……albeit peed off with the loss on my initial buys. All in good time I suppose

Because I am not posting for the sake of it - they haven’t d said anything other than options being considered. TBH the leak to the press is likely linked to the 2 funds shorting so they can close out - I have seen it before. Plus also at the current valuation this is a takeover target - I said back in 2019 the banking licence access alone in the uk is easily worth 250m

So let’s see because this is looking way oversold now and coupled with the valuation I think this is way too cheap. RNS clearly states no decision made and options relate to 2025 payment. Hardly looking to fund it when the sp is at its lowest. Expect potential offers of the business to be tabled tbh

I totally get that, because it appears set up for shorts to cover. Could well now see dialogue about an approach by a third party like Carlyle again - it would not surprise me.
