Yes, but surely if you sell, then those shares are then gone and any future increase in sp will be lost.

If you get a divi, then okay the value of the shares at that point may be less but at least you still own the same number of shares (that you would have sold in the first scenario) so any future increase in value (for whatever reason - say 'left field' suprise positive news or a takeover offer) wouldn't be lost? (Unless I'm missing something?!)

Depends where your investment is held.

With mine in an ISA a potential divi of 5p annually would give me a tax free annual income of £100k (which is more than enough to provide my whole family with a very comfortable standard of living! (Heck, I'd even be happy with half of that!)

Did some research over the weekend after your mention on the GGP board and just bought £20ks worth for my brother and myself (£10k each in our ISAs).

Agreed. Sold most of my holding at a loss (average purchase price of 6.38p) in Oct 2017 and ploughed it all into Greatland Gold! (Best decision I ever made, as up 1762% as of today, and loads more upside to come IMO).

Still think this will come good eventually (but when that will be who knows) hence kept a very small holding.

Totally, and it certainly was!!

I was wracked with guilt at having ''p i s s e d away'' the inheritance that my dear late Grandfather had worked hard all his life to leave me, but decided it was a now ''**** or bust play''.

Borrowed money (yes I know!!!) to average down and luckily it has paid off (so far).

Down over £350k on paper since the pre- Christmas ''high'', but still 1,762.22% in profit so can't complain!

(The rest of my portfolio is a total ''train wreck'', so if it wasn't for GGP I'd be stuffed!)

A total investment of £20,016.00 for me in my ISA.

First bought in July 2014, 240,060 shares at 0.0042p for £1,025 (if only I'd known!!)

Took a massive hit when Newcrest walked (having loaded up prior to the anticipated ''buy-out'') but decided to average down rather than sell up (right decision for once!).

Now hold 2m shares at an average of 1.1p so can't complain really (with a further additional 530k odd shares in both mine and the wife's pensions at an average of around 11p).

Like everyone else I'm getting severely p i s s e d at the MM games and manipulation, but just hoping for true value to out in the end (whenever that may be?)

As unlikely as it hopefully is, my only real fear now is that should they somehow manage to successfully continually play these manipulative games until next March/April then the current ''Year High'' will reduce from 37.5p to around 20p (and you can probably work out the rest!) :-(

A 5p annual divi would see my whole family set for life, so here's hoping (so long as we don't have to wait 10 years to se it!?)

(If we get taken out though, so long as it's north of £1.50 a share in cash I won't be complaining either)

Just managed to secure another 103,388 golden tickets for my father's ISA this year at 19.34p so very happy! (what's the betting it shows up as a sell!!?)
