Hey LO - sorry, didn't see your post till now. I genuinely hope you make your money back on this, but as I said below, just one kick in the groin too many for me. Fortunately, my position wasn't so big as to make the loss very painful, but another one to chalk up to experience!!

Looks like this ticker used to be something else before Civitas. Anyone else hold this stock? Great yield, government supported sector, and tradining a discount to NAV! What's not to like?

You see, it wasn't so hard for you to go out and find some catalysts was it? Glad you took my advice and did a bit of thinking for yourself.:-). Dig a bit deeper and you'll find that there are other games being dveloped in addition to F1 and F&F, that it trades on about half other games manufacturers, that the move to streaming will lower capital intensity which will increase gross margins, and last but not least, it's a small cap that has net cash on the balance sheet (which is rare). Go deeper still, and you find that Mark Slater, and extremely talented UK midcap stock picker, has initiated a position in the last 6 months. Have I persuaded you to buy a few yet ;-)

No requirement to provide info to investors. They cannot force you to sell, no, but I think that's a moot point as I don't think there's anyone who wants to buy them anyway!

No it's not. Firstly it's not a REIT, secondly it's as reliant on construction as it is on rental income, and finally, it doesn't just have student accomodation.

Wrong on both counts. My comments regarding the attractivenes of this stock are already on this Board, whilst all I suggested to you was do a bit of research and then we can have a proper debate. If so, then you'll find out how much I know about this stock, and investment in general, won't you?

I'm out. Jeez, what a rollercoaster ride. I didn't sell on the way down (though admit I didn't have the guts to buy either) and have exited with a small single figure percentage gain overall. I wish continued holders the very best of luck here, but I'm happy to leave having got my shrrt back!!

No stock gets cheap without problems - yes debt is high, and revenue is falling. However, free cash flow yield is still around 30%, so paying a 10% dividend yield is absolutely no problem. Risk here is that things get much much worse than the Company is expecting, but I'm willing to bet this won't happen, the dividend will hold, and the stock recover. In the meantime, the PE market will be salivating over this, believe me, so don't be surprised if we see bid rumours emeging in coming weeks and months.

Regadless of management changes, this company is a huge free cashflow generator. In fact, it now has a free cash flow yield of over 20% - the PE boys, and others will be running their slide rules over this as we speak. Expect offers to be talked about in the near future. I've been an investor for 30 years and I can't remember a larger over-reaction in the share price. NCC came close a few years ago and promptly doubled in 6 months.

I think it's also about Loosemoore leaving - he was viewed by many as a talisman. Divvy still there though. I'm buying more.

We'll see what happens tomorow. I have some dry powder to expend again if this thing drops more than it should on whatever comes tomorrow.

6x earnings and 10% yield feels like a lot of bad news in the price already? In addition, guidance in November was that things hadn't got worse. Price change suggests that this may have changed, but company worth $4bn generating free cash flow of about $800m seems to cheap to me. I've been buying at 990p this morning.

Comfortably through £2 today. Time to reduce perhaps?
