Wow, so the stock's up over 7% today, on no real news that I can see apart from some insider buying. If anyone's heard any other reasons for the move, I'd be interested to hear.

Actually, on closer inspection, Singer actually upgraded to hold back in March and simply re-iterated the hold rating today, admittedly with a much improved price target.

Looks like a pretty decent trading update this morning, with 17% like-for-like revenue growth, and the Accumuli acquisition integrated more quickly then expected. Then there's the (possible) future growth engine, Domain Services, which is still to kick in. Stock price a bit more muted than I would have expected , but perhaps the run up over the last few months had already built this in?

So, if they pay $350m, then that's around 10% more than their current mkt cap, and hence would be a reverse takeover. Interestingly, with sales of $190mn, INVE is actually 2.5x bigger than BMK on this basis. We don't know about the earnings, but there's a good chance that if the deal is done through issuing BMK shares, it would actually be EPS accretive. Now, before we get too excited, note that there are two (much larger) firms also bidding!

UK - Benchmark Holdings Plc, has confirmed it's among the bidders looking to acquire fish nutrition firm INVE Aquaculture NV from Royal Bank of Scotland Plc and Rabobank. According to industry reports, Mitsui & Co. and Nutreco NV are also in the frame.RBS and Rabobank are working with Rothschild on the private sale of INVE which may fetch up to $350 million Bloomberg reported. Talks are said to be at an advanced stage. INVE, which has turnover of $190 million, was founded in 1983, Breda, Netherlands, and produces nutrition and health products for fish and shrimp hatcheries and farms in more than 70 countries. Under AIM rules trading in Benchmark's shares were suspended Thursday as the potential acquisition would constitute a reverse takeover. Agree with 123 below, rating looks attractive even without potential Troponin revenues in 2017, so a free option on these 'dwarf[ing] the current business'. I do think £15 by year end is achievable.

New RNS. Company in question is INVE Aquaculture. Trying to find some financials, but proving challenging as I think it's a private company.

Very interesting RNS at 12.15 - Stock has been suspended due to a potential acquisition which is of a size that might make it a reverse takeover . I read that as BMK looking to buy a Company which is actually bigger than itself. Looks like a gamechanger, but will it be taken positively, or negatively by the market. No indication as yet as to when the stock might restart trading.

I agree with your trading strategy Chauv. Whilst you're clearly very positive on the stock, the discipline of setting a target at which you'll top slice the holding makes a lot of sense, particularly for an AIM mining company, and then gives you a 'free' option going forwards. I think the 'doubling' will probably have to wait until after mining begins though....

Agreed. Mind you. Glencore's directors were also steady buyers! I guess my investment implementation approach is a little different to yours. I tend to do as much DD up front, and then buy a reasonable slug. After that, I'll tend to only add on weakness. Laughable now, but after my initial purchase at about £3.25, the stock then fell to £2,50, so I bought some more. I hadn't traded it since, until today, when I top sliced - sold about 15% of my holding. After a 600% increase I'm happy with that. If it goes back to the 16s, I'll buy it back, if not, welI, I'm still invested! And what did I do with the proceeds - added to an existing holding in a very interesting pharma-related stock called Bioventix.....

I think so. Bear in mind that over the past few months the price went up about 20% at the same time as the market fell by more than 10% - we shouldn't be too surprised that we're seeing some profit taking. I let some go at 270p but would definitely buy this back below 230p. Fundamentals are strong, but at 270p, the rating didn't leave a lot of room for error!

Yep, thick end of 2mn shares. Looks to have cleaned out the offer at 4.80.
