No drilling results in a month and only Porvenir and Tandy since late November...

It seems like the company is in comms lockdown which is not surprising after the AGM votes, but almost a month later suggests there is something going on behind the scenes...

JV, bid approach, bumper drilling results...take your pick..

My only reassurance is that the SP is showing underlying resilience despite poor volumes and no news...

But it could just be gold and copper prices...

However nobody is selling in size...so what's happening...?

And I'm firmly bid for 140,000 shares at 26.75...

Barcharts have gone from a 100% sell to an 8% sell, but with the 20,50,100 and 150 day MAs all saying Buy, it can't be long before their 'Trendspotter' Buy is confirmed...

We had a Golden Cross (20 day/50 day) on January 4 and....

We've twice bounced off the 50 day Moving average in the last three days...

Having last broken the 200 day Moving Average on 30 December, taking us all the way to 29 where we bounced off the long term downtrend, we now need to convincingly break it again around 27.70 before powering on to break that trend (currently at c28) convincingly by powering through to 30 and beyond...

Let's state it simply, even though its blindingly obvious...

The world is going to have a humongous shortage of refined copper...

There will always be one off plays that multibag if you get your timing right...in AND out...
But at these prices SOLG is far and away the best copper play...

IMO...

How would anyone be able to answer that question MF...?

BHP up but Industrial Metals up 3.6% and SOLG up 4.3% on low volume which suggests any serious buying would take us towards 29p again...

But can we break it if we get there...?

Copper now up just shy of 6% in 24 hours...

At c11.20 I checked the Bid for 1 million, 500,000, 300,000 and finally got a bite at 200,000 (25.31)

Coincidental or not, Autobots kicked in from 11.23 and drove the price up to 26.85 at 11.41...

All this on relatively modest volume (192k shares traded of which 132k was accounted for in 5 bargains...

So...what does this suggest...?

Market is short of stock...

Bidders at or above these levels...

MMs nervous in what is a very quiet market with nothing happening...apparently...

Still bid 26.31 for 130,000 shares...

Hope we see excitement this afternoon...wouldn't take much to jerk this through 27p IMO...

Reported volume still only 75,000 shares BUT...

LSE has the quote at 25.5/25.7 which is well out of date because the ACTUAL live quote is 26.6/26.85...

I don't know what the offer size is but I'm FIRMLY bid for 200,000 shares at 25.31...despite the tiny volumes...

I repeat...nobody is selling any size...

Copper just bust $4.54...next big target $4.72/4.75 then the sky's the limit IMO...

Meanwhile, just 72k shares (£18k) traded in the first three hours...

Something BIG is going on in the background...it looks like the company has gone into lockdown (not COVID)...
