In a ideal world, this method will prove a success and use it at all future wells upon completion.

CASP eventually will save up to buy their own Heavy Duty Coiled Tubing Pressured Acid System, could add it to our services division, be a Baker Hughes arm in Kaz with access to proprietary tech...

Pretty sure is a standard overall method used by a few nearby giant fields in Kaz.

Anyway, let's see what it can do for us first !!!

It depends how many (pre-)treatments are required and if any leak-off preparation is needed etc...

In theory each acid job takes a few hours at most... The lengthier time is taken setting up all the equipment, getting the tubing down the hole, setting packers etc...

Then you have to reverse it all...

Should be max a week each well, but really can't be rushed when dealing with these pressures and depths...

Everything set for crescendo of news, lets hope it's music to our ears :-)

My guess is the long producing Karachaganak field, they have similar geology to BNG (so I believe)...

If you look at their website, states things like...

- KPO currently has two drilling rigs and one work over rig (2 frac units, 2 coiled tubing units and 3 clean-up and testing units)
- KPO has also drilled some of the most complicated wells in Kazakhstan, including multi-lateral wells with both two and three branches. The longest multi-lateral well has a main bore and two branches that are 521, 591 and 471 metres long respectively.

Has some complex geology and H2S to boot, but they have overcome and produced hundreds of million barrels...

Hey Smasher...

CASP does appear poised for an eventful few months... Fingers crossed that DeepSpot hits the spot, if near well-bore mud drainage damage is the issue (as stated on numerous occasions), Baker Hughes should sort it !!!

Should/when the deeps flow then I'm sure a CPR will be initiated, regarding production license, Airshagyl is potentially very large, have many areas to appraise, I think CASP will want one more A?? well, maybe A9, near the eastern boundary of BNG to prove up 10's of sq km and then apply (they will defo need a CPR to apply), but CC did say, that all they need is three wells to apply.

Are we on the CUSP of a CASP new dawn?, we should soon find out... Time to prove yourselves CASP !!!

Hope enjoying your weekend... Two tenders to report (MJF and South Yelemes Shallow), appear to be for refinery services, storage and subsequent main oil pipeline access, i.e. would guess with our neighbours, KNOC's Kulzhan.

This pairs with the recent field to refinery delivery tenders, sure can calculate some ratio percentages versus same field refinery tender and maybe apply to current stated costs of $4 per barrel, somewhere around 10:3 refinery:delivery.

They have around 4k storage at present, and have plans to add a further ~9k with stage 2, which includes pipeline to Kulzhan refinery.

Think it's worth listing stated shallow performance for the last few months, so we can see the hopeful improvement over time.
