Hey all, my initial thoughts

Lower international percentage, could be down to more produced from non-MJF fields or possibly balancing the book from last month...

Am a little disappointed in Baker Hughes, does feel like not even there yet, I might be wrong, but if the acid and equipment is there for A6 and 801, has it only just turned-up ?

Think the extra equipment for A8 is different sized expandable packer coiled tubing attachment to fit production liner/casing etc, A8 is larger 7inch case versus the ~5inch on A6 and 801.

A5, looks like are learning as clay swelling potential issue hopefully prevented, 4,324m is just above the gas cap, so should be seeing it in the drill cuttings soon, need to time with Baker Hughes.

MJF is cryptic numbers... Hope to hear 151 and 154 spudding soon.

Set snooze for a week or two... but ya never know... could be a flaring permit for A6 or 801 first !!! A8's still has a month or so left.

Hope CASP/BH are collecting some nice pics and vids of our new kit in action at MJF and some of Baker Hughes working deep magic too...

Would be nice to see what has been going on over the last few weeks and what the kit looks like etc... Even if it's a few on Twitter !!!

Have learnt to be patient investing in O&G, many companies only report once per quarter, they don't even issue RNS for spuds, completions etc. Maybe CASP is maturing ?

I've saved my super-400 shot golden shower firework for news ;-}

Very good and interesting observation MLQ, it does appear Baker Hughes are setting-up or growing shop in Kaz, let's hope that CASP have a very successful customer experience and outcome to help them on their way... New staff must speak fluent English, must have Kaz or Russian too, sales positions, pre-tender support some techy positions too, would be nice to think we currently had some top BH people on-site looking to propagate their expert knowledge to local team. I know they did some work at Tengiz on gas turbines, not sure of other extent.

Very quiet in CASP matrix...

A little fresher at BNG today and tonight... As low as -10c (was hot 21c, 5 days ago) Is well within working temps but would not want to fix a Swiss watch with tweezers, lol.

Have no idea what to expect from our deep program, hoping A8 sufficiently cleaned for test, A5 perf'ed or ready-to, A6/801 how magic is DeepSpot ?

Fingers crossed on weather, November is not usually too harsh, January is normally the coldest month.

Just seen your message... I did translate the emissions agreement from yesterday, not much new info, below is a couple of bits...

Good morning all

Very true CC, weather has been good in October, let's hope the most has been made of the opportunity, it will inevitably become very cold, -20c seems to be when it starts to hurt drilling... Last winter was kind, allowing A8 to drill more or less uninterrupted, hoping for similar this year.

Forward weather planning has been better this year, 6 x MJF well prep works, which might include drilling and installing the surface casing ready to drill down when it's its turn.

Discussions about perforating... I believe part of A6's issue was penetrating in an overbalanced state (the now fixed leak at bottom of well was not helping), not advisable when requiring deep penetration.

Can see how much more efficient perforating in an under balanced regime, is probably why using rig to perf, with tubing conveyed charges, not 100% certain.

Hey Smasher...

It would depend on what level of clean-up is considered part of the A5 and A8 drilling/completion permits.

I would imagine chemical and acid matrix wash is fine, really depends what level of intervention is part of the permit, it appears that some of the other fields in pre-Caspian basin with similar geology use pressurised acid as standard part of well clean-up and work-over... So really not sure... Would be nice to be able to use if so desired by CASP.

Really have to see how it performs at A6 and 801 first, it has been a very big month for CASP, I'm now hoping to see the fruits of labour... Can hope :-)

Is a tricky one Chilts...

They maybe able to bracket new support below the failing support, using buoyancy or similar, is not light though, probably as tall as 30 storey building. I think until they've had a good look and reported, is a wait and see... Weather can be tough around now, so need to get on with inspections whilst weather is ok.

The tanks were originally installed because Brent pipeline did not exist !!! They used to offload via tanker.

As mentioned, 2 x large cylindrical tanks... at least one needs to be removed or fixed at 160m water depth...

Have some platform pipes and manifold equipment nearby on the sea bed, so cannot do a cut and timber... will probably do something clever by cutting tap holes into the bottom of tank and if air-tight will replace the contents with air, maybe a float or two and big crane ship(s) and move it away from platform and drop to clear sea bed or tow home. Sure will come up with a cunning plan !!!
