Since the beginning of November there have been fourteen 1 trades. Someone somewhere is not paying attention!

I first read about how some patients lacked the ability to produce interferon and became critically ill in July. Blind Freddie could work out that a clinical trial of interferon that produced a 79% benefit might somehow link to lack of interferon in patients interferon that has been discovered in the science for many months. Really with all the evidence around interferon governments around the world should be at least trying to save peoples lives by giving SNG001 a shot at it. It is criminal that they are not.

There is a lot of discontent on the board about the trial start date but I think this is down to lack of understanding about requirements of phase 3 trials and the need to get everything right if you want to succeed.

There is an interesting article on the Paraxel website about why P3 trials fail. It is worth a read and it highlights some important points for the reason for trial failures. It might also help people to understand that phase 3 trials fail in general for reasons other than the actually efficacy of the drug.

One of the key reasons for failure is inadequate science but I think all would agree that Synairgen's P3 should not fail on this account.

The other 'failure triggers' all relate to study design and implementation. Factors such as non compliance of protocol, unintentional unblinding, data integrity issues all can result in failure of P3. In Synairgen's case the likely reason that the phase 3 would fail would be factors unrelated to the science.

We all know the phase 3 trial is going to start. Covid is going to be here for a long time so the trial will get filled. The key then to ensure that the phase 3 trial is a success are likely to be factors not relating to the science ie. study design and implementation. Any issues in these areas then all the work on covid will be for nought!

Personally I am happy that they are taking their time and that SNG has a company like Paraxel ensuring that all is in place to give this drug the best shot at getting through P3.

Dave, The share is still trading on the SETS platform. It won't change now. Plenty of A trades, just not the volume of small amounts on the ask that we have been seeing past few weeks yet.

Pfizer also want to vaccinate all those that have received the placebo on ethical grounds now the EUA has been received. This then makes any long term analysis of the actual efficacy of the vaccine impossible . Farcical. The true efficacy of this vaccine will never be know.

FDA/MHRA and every other countries regulators have not approved it. I am sure Synairgen are just as perplexed by this as the shareholders. It has been 5 weeks since the company received the funds to start the trial and the ethics committee only looked at the trial protocol 9th November. The wheels of government agencies work slowly even in a pandemic unfortunately.

I hear you Algy. £5 would make me very happy and financially very secure. However I would probably back the boards position as if we have got this baby to £5 then I think it highly unlikely that it would be coming back down the pennies. Would have to make a decision based on all the facts at that time.

Around 50m shares (25% of the company) just went to ii’s and private investors on the placement. They know the true potential value here. If you combine this with the current large holders we are looking at approx 40- 45% of the company that would likely not vote for a £5 share price sale. It would not take much for the BOD to convince enough PI’s to vote against a £5 sale.

You rollercoaster view comes from a PI perspective however its like water off a ducks back for the larger holders and ii’s who have seen it all before.

I think once government orders (getting treatments in hospital settings/stockpiling) are taken care of a licensing deal will be forthcoming.

It is an exciting prospect.

I still think there is a high chance that this drug will be required before the end of winter and completion of phase 3 trials due to the horrendous state of covid hospitalisations currently being endured in many countries at the moment and the inevitable increase post Christmas.

This is all false.

1. The licensing failed because the phase 2 trial asthma indicated their was no market for SNG001 in asthma due to lack of exacerbations.

2. SNG have not done a phase 3 COPD trial.

3. The phase 2 COPD readout was to provide safety data for current COVID approval process with regulators.

Out if interest why have we not been told the name of the firm that they are taking advice from? I found it strange that he would drop the hint but not name the advisor.

GGP may be down 12% but my filter box is up 25%. Happy days off to celebrate not having to read any more of their drivel.

I think it makes it easier to control a share price with low volume like SNG have. It means bots or anyone wanting to set up automatic trades can pound the ask with small trades and if there is not enough demand on the buy side then can push the share lower or hold on a range. This is exactly what we have seen here from 110p down to 80p.

Really SETS is not designed for a share with such low volume like SNG and yes I think it can be manipulated.

GGGT, We moved over to SETS which is what most of the main market shares use. This was done just after the placing and usually for shares with large trading volumes.
