A good start of the day on reaching 20.45p Intraday high twice as the Oil price was slightly higher at opening though it was lower overnight on the Far East.

There was some selling on the "0" trades as the oil price lost ground again as the morning went along and order book went a bit weak, but share price managed to hold at 21p as the low, so still up for the day.

2 hours of trading now and managing to hold onto a small gain, better than most oil stocks that they are on the red as FTSE is 40 points lower

(Reuters) - Investors bought crude oil futures and options at the fastest rate for almost six months in the week to Feb. 12.

Hedge fund managers are becoming steadily more bullish on the outlook for oil prices as Saudi Arabia makes deep cuts in production, sanctions hit Venezuela and Iran, and the U.S. and China inch toward a trade deal.

Hedge funds and other money managers were net buyers of 32 million barrels of Brent crude futures and options in the week to Feb. 22, according to position records published by ICE Futures Europe.

Portfolio managers have been net buyers of Brent in nine out of the last 10 weeks, boosting their net position by a total of 130 million barrels since Dec. 4. Last week saw the largest purchases so far.

Earlier in the current cycle most position-building came from closing previous bearish short positions, but the balance shifted in the most recent week with most accumulation from initiating new bullish long positions.

Fund managers opened 29 million barrels of new long positions while cutting short positions by 3 million barrels in the week to Feb. 12.

Funds now hold a net long position of 266 million barrels in Brent, up from 136 million at the start of December, though still far below the almost 500-million-barrel position at the end of September.

Similar position-building is evident in European gasoil, where funds were net buyers of 11 million barrels of futures and options in the week to Feb. 12.

Oil Prices Hit 2019 Highs Amid Supply Cuts

WASHINGTON (Alliance News) - Oil prices extended recent gains on Friday, with Brent crude futures briefly hitting 2019 highs above USD65 per barrel, helped by OPEC-led supply cuts and the announcement of an even deeper cut by Saudi Arabia.

Global benchmark Brent crude rose 0.3% to USD64.76 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate crude futures were up 0.1% at USD54.46 per barrel.

On my calculations, the management has used the wrong no.of shares and exchange rate ( less than it should be ) AUD/GBP 1.70 (early 2018) this year around AUD/GBP 1.80 and rising. I both cases makes inflated figures.

Profits after tax £4m - 4.5m : 178,68m shares = EPS 2.23p - 2.52p
If used 197m share = EPS 2.03p - 2.28p

If tax was at 13% =AUD6.96m - AUD7.83m : AUD1.80 exchange rate= £3.86m - 4.35m
Profits after tax £3.86m - 4.35m : 178.68 shares = EPS 2.16p - 2.43p
If used 197m share (1) = EPS 1.96p - 2.21p

If tax was at 20% = AUD6.4m - AUD7.2m : AUD1.80 exchange rate= £3.55m - 4m
Profits after tax £3.55m - 4m : 178,68m shares = EPS 1.96p - 2.24p
If used 197m share = EPS 1.80p - 2.03p

Conclusion using AUD1.80 exchange rate, 13% tax charge and 197m shares overage for 2019
My expectations:
Profits after tax of £3.86m - 4.35m
EPS 1.96p - 2.21p = overage of 2.085p

note - Just hope is not true about the directors are ... "crooks", those names were circulating on the ADVFN thread last month, one thing is for sure they are "irresponsible " giving updates that can not be met on those figures. (EPS on pennies )

you are right .... speaking too soon has been your problem for some time, not 1 but 2 sells since.

Why not large selling this morning?
For the last couple of days, the selling was larger than the buying, that means the MMs have more stock in their books than they wanted.
Therefore their selling size (BID) was well down, for what I said earlier, but after there was some buying, they (MMs) increase the bid price and bigger size and then was when the sellers appeared.

only slightly down but the sell is large 279K and on the same time table early on the morning as is custom.

Share price very lucky to finished unchanged yesterday as the sells were well ahead.

You talking Bull crap from the start with EBITDA.

The company has already give us the Forecast, net profits, why you want to go back to earlier point. EBITDA
from net profit, discount the Tax charge and you will reach after tax profit
then divided by the number of shares in issue = EPS in AUS

But we need to convert the result into "£"
so use the exchange rate at the end to reached the After tax in "£" and EPS in pennies

Conclusion: any weakness on the AU$ when translated into "£"s gives less profit and lower EPS that after all is what we can compare the share price as it is in pennies no cents
That is all ... Investor rubbish

Because any company with large debt any rise in interest rate would impact in BIG way the interest paid by the company.
Any interest by me in the company with further problems in this department brings my interest one more point back

I have realized that you have no idea of how things work on the EPS situation.

It does not impact the EBITDA, but it does once is converted in net profits and EPS ( in £'s ) that after all is how the valuation of being cheap or expensive the market values MRS.

Next time learn a bit more before trying to find faults on my posts
