If you check your messages you will see a new message (today) summarising your rights position. Informative and to the point.

The BUY button is grey as you cannot buy additional rights through HL only SELL your entitlement. If you want more shares (ex rights) just buy in the market.

At this stage the only thing you need to decide is to fund your rights purchase, sell or part sell your rights.

Yes I have applied for all the rights. The button remains blue as up to the date you can change you mind. (If SP goes to 650 I will reduce my rights)

Exited around 70% of position leaving me with a 303 average cost. Tempted here at these levels but something seeems wrong. Still tempted.

all lower, much lower. Markets twitching for a correction and another great buying opportunity ahead no doubt. Rinse and repeat.

Waiting for a flash crash and then all in again around £2 is the 1st tranche. IMO this first crash, should it happen will be bought, who knows what happens then :)

Smith+Nephew commits to net zero emissions

Smith+Nephew (LSE:SN,NYSE:SNN), the global medical technology business, today announces its commitment to achieve net zero emissions across its operations globally by 2045.

Roland Diggelmann, Chief Executive Officer, Smith+Nephew, said

“As a healthcare company, Smith+Nephew’s purpose is to restore and promote health and wellbeing. We believe that this applies not just to the benefits our products deliver to patients, but also to the wider health of the planet and society. Our net zero pledge will help each of us view our actions here and now through the lens of the long-term good we can do.”

Smith+Nephew’s roadmap is to achieve net zero Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) by 2040 and Scope 3 GHGs by 2045. We are on track to achieve a 70% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHGs by 2025 compared to a 2019 baseline. Most recently our facilities in Memphis, US, our single largest location, began sourcing all electricity from renewable wind energy, accounting for around 40% of Smith+Nephew’s total electricity usage.

Nice pop lightened up and now wondering whether to buy back todays sales or wait.

Nice - dividend keeps the interest ticking over.

Why are people so interested in making a quick buck only? Yes SP is not where many want it to be but in the next few months 3 6 or 12 - the price will have fluctuated wildly many times over and by capturing part of that movement there will be plenty of opportunity to average down and improve most situations without realising any paper losses you may have.

It may go to £7- or up to £12+ but it will change direction, spike or crash at the drop of a hat on sentiment and news.

I do not want to be out of the stock while this happens and the dividend suits me for now.

Which screws up please?

Most are down to timing and then a bit of patience is required. I buy in tranches with the intention to increase even as the price drops rather than invest 100% in one go in any stock. I do not mind a paper loss, which is temporary. I actively reduce averages which keeps me in a good position come a pullback and many of the stocks I hold at a fraction of the current prices.

Cash is king of course.
