£45 per annum, plus stamp duty where relevant and in a tax free ISA suits me fine on the whole. I do use other brokers too.

The rights issue is perceived to put the company in a better position financially and should rally from a lower base than previous (unless of course there is yet another raise in future from this neverending political pandemic and subject of course to market fluctuations.

Clarified beyond doubt and for you the penny will drop eventually. I respectfully suggest you reread and digest.
Heck I even bought some extra on Friday and guess what those rights popped up too in my HL account this morning.
I stand by my clarification and report and do not do spats.

I have followed up with our Corporate Actions team who have confirmed that the qualifying date for the EasyJet rights issue is 13 September 2021. The record date that has been given in the prospectus is different to the qualifying date and is not relevant to clients. It is an internal date for the benefit of the company. The qualifying date (13 September) will be the one to determine who is entitled to take part in the rights issue.

Will add on a taper tantrum low 500s (always opportunities) and sell in the high 600s. 586 is in no-mans land for me to trade.

Not my experience at ALL. Running 8 accounts with HL.

4 have EZJ rights attached and all there at 8pm. The trading button is not available to sell the rights at 8am but will appear during the day.

As regards dividends, they always for me appear on the pay date and there is are neat summaries for dividends by tax year available. Like you I do not always have a holding post ex dividend but they have a 100% record in allocating the payments for those companies too.

So I can also read that if you do not hold shares your cannot participate, but if you did you can freely add before Monday and still have rights whereas those who held Zero would not get the same treatment.

A minefield to be sure.
