Even as IAG etc go up, I lighten and reload when the market allows and the 25% rise of the bottom has worked a treat over the hold and hopers.

Trade the difference, add or reduce. People have agendas and vendettas but not really the place. Nor is it the place to be disrespectful nor toxic enjoying peoples discomfort.

FWIW, I see today as a dead cat bounce (not in IAG) but overall markets.

I expect lower prices for a buyable dip in most stocks and have been building up cash for such an event.

It seems that many stocks have sold off while the indices are giving false comfort.

Scooped up a few DLG at the end of play, some STAN and ABDN. First trances only, if Evergrande tanks them short term then so be it.

My take is that Evergrande has been known for weeks in the market, if not longer and it is being used as a ploy to create a buying dip as the big guys are fed up waiting for one.

Should be an interesting open in Asia on Wednesday afer the 2 day holiday.

Re Stelios family story.
They did not want to plough more money (perhaps did not have liquid funds) to participate for the reasons stated. I would not read more into it as they still have a significant holding. They are averaging down their holding cost, maybe tax had an impact or lifestyle funding but it will always be his baby and who knows what movers and shakers are talking with then before making a move.
