In the low 5.60s, so up nearly 40c in first few minutes. Keeping fingers crossed as I don’t want to see another £40k wiped off my portfolio today, and hoping to recoup some of it.

Now 7p above the ASX close and it seems to be calming down a bit.

Presumably with all the stop losses kicking in, there could well be a fair amount of additional liquidity in the market. Wouldn’t surprise me if this was planned to some extent to allow institutional investors to get in at a reasonable price. I seem to recall that GGP has an unusually high percentage of PIs and this shake up could well be part of a strategy for the institutions to get a bigger share of the pie at a good price. The tracking funds know they’ll need to invest when the company gets into ASX200 and presumably many will have the flexibility to get in early if the price is right.

Anything better than 68p down at 8:00 will be a good sign.

I’m guessing the market is not impressed by the projected AISC for FY26.

78koz Au in Q2 compared to 90koz in Q1 but the standout figure is AISC down from $2126 to $1736.

Phenomenal improvement in AISC.

It’s my understanding that Wyloo have an option on Newmont’s remaining shares at a specific price.

SC. I think most of the pre ASX predictions were that the wild swings for no apparent reason would stop, and other than the first couple of weeks, that’s pretty much happened. Real movement will be based on actual news and that’s always been the case

Jack, other than his stupidity making the dollar no longer the safe bet it’s always been thereby helping assets like gold, very little. However a number of posters on here are delusional enough to think Trump knows what he’s doing and if they’re that daft, their opinion on other things is highly suspect making it pointless reading their waffle. If you fall into that category I’ll be happy to add you to my green bin too. This particular thread has absolutely nothing of interest in relation to GGP so I didn’t see a problem adding my green bin criteria. If you’ve already added me to your bin then I’ve wasted my time with this post.

My green bin is overflowing. Mostly with people who think Trump’s doing a good job. If they’re that deluded, their opinions on anything else are worthless.

My average is 63p and just sold half my shares for £9.56.

Interesting SWOT analysis.

Each “weakness” has a logical justification that probably means it’s not really a weakness.

The SP volatility appears to be a consequence of the cross listing and will likely settle down after a few weeks of trading.

The shareholder dilution was a deliberate choice to avoid significant debt. This choice has already proven to be correct with the net effect being accretive.

The low analyst coverage is really an opportunity for people to accumulate shares at a relatively low price and will undoubtedly sort itself out going forward. I would say it’s a temporary drag on the SP but not a weakness.
