Not possible to say where we’d be with Harris as President, but I’m fairly sure she wouldn’t have spent her time threatening and insulting US allies, imposing ludicrous tariffs and setting up a Gestapo equivalent to round up foreigners and shoot anyone who objects.

Fortunately, as it’s not a new one, the Bentley only cost less than 5% of my shares, and I ended up using spare cash anyway rather than selling, and having taken early retirement it will not be for daily use. We have a BMW I3 for local use which effectively costs nothing to use. 7p per kWh. Range is terrible but we don’t go out of town with it. Sometimes you’ve got to treat yourself and I have no desire to own a production version of a rally car even if it will hold its price better.

Just bought a Bentley Continental GT 6.0 W12 using a little bit of my GGP profits.

There’s less anxiety about geopolitics leading to a short term boost to the dollar and the US markets. In a day or two we’ll be back to normal so no point worrying about blips like this. It’s also known as a buying opportunity.

I suspect LSE are simply using the actual income from December to mid year whereas ASX have projected the income to cover a full year, so technically LSE will be correct but ASX will provide a much better indication of where we’re at.
