Did a quick calculation of all the metal at Telfer, Hav and OC that’s in the ground based on today’s MREs.

The total I came to was £2.5 trillion. I’m probably orders of magnitude out but if correct, that’s a big number equivalent to £3,700 per share. No account has been taken of extraction and processing costs and I’m sure the NPV will be significantly different, however I do think that it illustrates that at £5.50, our shares are a bargain and ripe for multi bag growth.

So we’re up about a dollar now (over 50p).

Should be interesting in the morning.

The only silver lining from this current SP plunge is that £20k worth of shares is about 1200 more shares than it was 3 weeks ago, and will incur about £1k less CGT when I do my Bed & ISA next month.
