I like the sound of option 2 the increase in high end products using optical film. AUO are producing the 8k tv panels for Sony and Samsung. Who produced the Hisense 100” tv on show at CES2018. It had to be Wah Hong QD film because of the size. Then we have the 75” H10E which is due out soon. So there should be plenty of QD demand

SL don’t forget Merck now have a huge project working with Osram so they will be using Nanoco dots partly funded by the German govt. Re Wah Hong was not sure what Bloomberg quoted NAVs in whether local or US and did not have time to look. Just think US2bn is too much for a factory unless a lot more is attached.

HP and Dell are interesting potentials. That must be to do with their pc ranges. We know HP are on board with a BFGD through Nvidia but again that is an AUO panel so that is a separate project. If it is anything to do with PCs that is big

Yes Samsung, Dow and Nanoco are the only current commercial producers of cad free dots. With royalties from Dow and Samsung buying from AUO that is a large share of the market.

Both Sharp and Hisense are shown on the client list. there was some press comment of Sharp moving away from Hisense last year. Sharp must be developing their own line. Hisense has the H10e (75")about to be launched replacing the H10d (70") under their own brand. Interesting day good to see everyone very much on the ball. One comment I noted was 'Samsung is not on the client list' however we do know from independent reports that Samsung buy AUO panels. Samsung also stated at Ces2018 they are developing 85" 8k TVs using AUO panels as are Sony. It is noticeable for consistency that Acer, ASUS and AOC are not listed.
