Once again hardly any stock market activity on OXA in November. Hopefully it means the big investors are content to leave their money where it is. At least all my three investments, IGAS, HUR and OXA are all in there same boat........to be renamed the Titanic. Well it's only money. Good luck all and may I be the first to wish all OXA employees and shareholders a Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

Very much agree Q3 revenue reflects q2 sales which were all pre iphone 6 etc. revenue expected to be 360 m in q4. Also and very importantly the v8 chip (as seen in iphone 6 and new ipad) is much more profitable than previous chip designs and ARM predicts revenue growth from V8 is expected to be double the expected growth of smartphones, in other words more dollar per phone in 2015 in particular. At the lower of the market, revenue from older designs goes on for 10-15 years with more penetration into developing world markets from cheap phones, so a developed and resilient company. Finally ARM are heavily into the internet of things (IOT is the acronym for 2015) so every time you see adverts, for example for smart central heating control than that's ARM profit. Overall a very resilient company with less stratopheric growth than previously but strong and resilient going into 2015.

Trade at 2.35 on Google, I'm less in debt than I was before I started my bowl of Shreddies.

Hope you followed my HUR tip of 1st September. I didn't but it's up 11% this morning. There's a warm glow in knowing you're right.....and a feeling of total stupidity that you didn't put any money in. Still it looks like there is still some OXA enthusiasts out there, might even get my money back. GLA.

Yes thanks for this, it's certainly put a brake on my total negativity regarding this stock. The OXA guys must have impressed IP Group and Oxford Uni who I'm sure wouldn't part with their money without a thorough analysis. Many thanks.

You're obviously a very fine chap Cautious and very comforting to us investors with chunks of real money in these companies. EDR is obviously a fine prospect, see Malcy's blog for the opinion of an O&G expert, Wressle looks to have turned out well and I can't see the spread as an obstacle when even the medium term looks rosy. Can I just defend Igas by noting that they sit on some of the best prospects identified by the British Geological Society (see their website for a report on the NW). Igas now have loads of data from their exploratory work and are promising to go public soon after the end of October. The recently announced shortage of electrical capacity this winter will ensure the government's support for the onshore industry. Anyway, keep thinking and good night.

My typing skills are about on a par with OXA's marketing.

Lost 40% of my 1500 quid investment in four weeks. Will stick around for a month or so, just for a laugh, ho, bloody ho. Vwonder what thIf you want to recoup your money then can I recommend IGAS which is very low at the moment, jump on the shale gas train before it get's up to speed this autumn. HUR also looks good although I've no shares in it.

What's happening here. Already traded 50K on a daily average of 60K. Hope springs eternal etc......

Just a thought, I see on the Igas board that Denmark are permitting shale exploration for the first time. With France being in the economic mire and the environmental and business case for shale development being recognised internationally, I wonder how long it will be before Hollande has his arm twisted into a U turn on shale. Egdon have sold some of their interests in France but still say they have a focus on the country. As an aside, might be worth researching who else has exploration licences across the Channel. In any event Hollande is very likely to get the boot at the next election and be replaced by a more business friendly government, so maybe a long-term punt worth investigating.

If this technology is as good as Oxford say it is, and it certainly sounds impressive with the potential to use graphene as a coating constituent, then maybe other companies, with greater capacity to take this forward into the marketplace, might be tempted to bid. I guess in their current financial position, Oxford would welcome an approach. Keep the lights on for just a little bit longer.

2.25 million shares bought today versus 4 thousand sold, share trades look a sea of blue yet the SP barely moves. Can anyone enlighten me, a newbie to investing, as to how this happens.

I have a tiny holding in OXA, based mainly on an intellectual snobbery which makes me think anything with Oxford in the name and connected to clever people in white coats must be worth a punt ! Doh! It seems from an ignoramous' point of view that their technology has enormous potential however it seems like they need to produce a eye-catching "Tomorrows World" type specimen product to gain some traction in the marketplace.

Apologies my mistake, saw the price rise and assumed it was a purchase. Doh!!

The big investors bet on the future. interim results only being a guide to future prospects. Probably the sale of electrical items is partly tied to the housing market, as well as the general sense of economic well-being. Housing is looking good at least til 2015, wages in the private sector are increasing, unemployment is down. Without ramping I can't see why SP this shouldn't be on the way up. Just a guess but I'm hoping for 52.5 tomorrow. GL all.
