Anyone understand the acquisition RNS. Looks like we are now a bio 3d printing research company as well as a high-tech coating company. Looks like they have dumped the remnants of the old Oxford Surfaces and have raised some more money via a placing. Words of two syllables please.

Profits up 35% and SP down 3.5%. Would you adam and eve it.

The website looks much more professional. They have a great product it seems but the increased emphasis on marketing seems brilliant. Slow but steady progress.

Just reminding myself that this share traded at an eye-watering 90p pre-crash but over 20p as recently as 2011. So won't sell yet then.

No RNS announcement but up 25%. Any ideas anyone - maybe trade (don't use the word insider) whispers.

After a dead few days, suddenly 500k shares traded in the first hour and spread shrunk to a tiddly 10% !!!

Can you say what you mean by "real characters" ......as opposed to Harry Potter do you mean? Clearly sandpaper is a direct substitute for Onto technology, why didn't I and the other investors including the IP Group and Oxford University think of that. Seriously though it's nice to have one deramper here, unfortunately I think only four people and a dog read this board so I don't think your efforts will have much effect. Good luck though.

Seems like good progress from the RNS but no response from the market. With a decent cash reserve I'm hoping OXA will be able to develop their products this year and bring them to a wider market. However I guess they must also be a takeover target for larger concerns with more marketting muscle.

Yes someone with £12k to venture at that price with a spread of nearly 50% must be confident or a fool (or both I guess).

Yes, i'm very pro-shale but it's important to remember that Mike Hill the anti-fracking candidate in Fylde got 10% of the vote which is huge for a single issue candidate. HMG will support shale and i'm sure the environmental concerns are baseless but a catious approach will be necessary.

Tried to trawl the net but very little recent news to explain the change in fortune. My best guess, either one of their reported projects with Sun Chemical, the world's biggest producer of printing ink, or another multinational, has come to fruition., and/or they are about to be taken over or receive massive new investment from someone after their Onto technology. In any event if we get a 60% rise on no news, what will we get on real news! I think AIM companies have a duty to announce if there is news that materially effects the SP so maybe an RNS this week. GLA.

I wonder if anyone has researched the outcome if you'd bought early only into listed companies beginning with the word Oxford or Cambridge.

I have an old Dinky Vanwall racer with one tyre missing that could do with a spruce-up. Something must be happening under the surface. Well the Tinman is 75 this year and maybe needs some Hammerite!

Another blank month for the OXA SP. I wonder if Mr Griffiths is having any impact. Still big investors don't seem to be pulling out so where there's life ...etc....etc.

IMO a tad early but i'm looking to get in as this is a solid company with good prospects of recovery once oil finds it's own level. My guess (no better than yours) is about 1620.
