On my mind is the following. The conceived wisdom is that a share price reflects the future earnings of the company. That it is a result of all known news and future expectations. In the case of ACA the expectation is that in the future it will be able to freely mine and export from Tanzania. Probably owned differently. So why are we so sure the share price will move much from where we are now? Some say it will "rocket" . (I have a feeing what some of the replies might mention but I think it a good exercise to focus our minds )....

The builders pay 5 to 9% ...CEY PAY 7.39% ...a gold miner....or try a bet on Whitbread ...the Board have stated that the proceeds of the sale of Costa to Coke will go to the shareholders but it hasn't been declared as such yet....

I totally agree. All those stand up comedians,journalists and about everybody else on the sidelines are there because it's very difficult to walk your talk. Can you imagine how difficult it is to negotiate with the 27 e u members a bit like the Argus with 27 heads. And did anyone spot the Northern Ireland border issue pre referendum ?? And hey the conservative majority depends on 9 ULster VOTES..if you put that in a novel the critics would say it wasn't realistic! Just let me add that the Dutch and Danish both had referendums ..they voted to leave the EU. . Both countries couldn't work things out.So ,guess what they had another referendum. It reversed the outcome in both countries. The moral is don't let the political elite bully the electorate to get what they want. We don't have revolutions here. But we do like to stir things up in other ways. We gave Oliver Cromwell eight years and that was enough,!

Thanks for that. I suppose when I use term junk I m referring to the sometimes miniscal share volume but giratory share price movement. Certainly the likes of Chronicle Investor and the FT have published glowing reports on this outfit. And over the last year we have read how Timberland has signed up to the technology . But then we are aware of the huge research costs ...the high h q costs. So do you think what are basically university academics got the commercial nauce to see this through?

Is this a junk share? Sorry to sound acidic but could someone who follows XSG perhaps outline how they see this company in 2019? Where is the silver lining ?

Morning Wishey.....Just to say I bought my first trance of VRS at 13 pence. Surely then a penny share . I wanted exposure to Graphene . I quickly ruled out Haydale and the other companies involved are private companies. I did my research. However I also bought many other shares after doing research. So I suggest it's not that one shouldn't buy penny shares but the same quality of research should go into a small cap company as a footsie 100. ( I ve added ACVT to my watch list although as a rule I m not an expect on drug companies and my initial view observation are its losses increases shown in last account year but shares almost at an all time low )...... Just to say in this Bear market stock picking is at its sharpest need....

Just to say I ve looked on BWY postings and News...nothing about SYDENHAM land purchase. I sometimes visit the postings here at TEF to get a feel of what's going on generally. And now showing more knowledge in other companies than those companies postings show in themselves ! We have had a house in Elthan since 1962. And this forgotten area of SE London has in the last few years a successful development by Galliard homes and a re vitalised high street done rather tastefully. Keep up the informative postings folk .....

Are there any dissenters to the view that we have had a dead cat Bounce?! Now battern down the hatches and wait for the bottom of the u curve....some great companies are at their year lows...some such as the constructors were last this low July 2016.... That must have been the Brexit low me thinks....

The short positions remain the same. Unless there is activity below point five per cent of stock that hasn't to be reported. These are volatile days for most stocks. The question is are you lucky enough to scoop up at the bottom of the u curve??

I see SHG fellow gold miner in Tanzania was up some 9%to day on their share pric e. A general optimism pervades both bulletin boards. I take sollise from the fact that the Tanzanian govt are allowing SHG to prosper. So making a reasonable settlement here more likely.

Supercharger....My first foray into shares excepting the no brainer privatisations " ask Sid " and all that was Tallow oil. I bought as recommendation from Evening standard comment . I bought ...held for a year or so ...got bored and sold at 220p. In 1989. I note you said earlier you don't buy pure exploration gold companies but isn't Tallow just that but Black gold if I m not mistaken? Just curious. Yes I m afraid even my Telford homes have taken a slide this week But I note the smaller developers hold up...for example Abbey Homes. Small is beautiful ...a bit like ACA. But I m glad to be out of Crest Nicholson now. It seems my punt on Fressilo at 760 p has paid off....for now anyway. i sold my Highland gold mining holding in order to invest here. A good div on the latter but not for some time. ..... Palladium price has overtaken Gold price for the first time( as passing interest ).....

Port sea Asset Management increased their Short position by point 25 % on 30th November . So the shorters owe just over 2% of shares issued. So The action for me is to keep my holding. I shall keep an eye on Short Tracker to see when their holding drops to below point % Then depending on the then SP I might buy stock. ( hopefully in time for the final year results which I expect to be encouraging).

Ha! Supercharger an Eagles supporter ! My Dad who passed away this year was one. I remember he took me to Selhurst Parkin 71 ...Eagles played West Ham...We saw the great Geoff Hurst. And my Dad remembers the Crystal Palace burning in '36 ... Do you have interests in the gold exploration companies? . I m observing all the interest in the shares of Greatland ..GGP...and their gold strike in Western Oz.....I suppose these shares are feast or famine ?.... I ve managed to loose on Telford homes though. Bought in January at 400p....they did go to 450.. But now languish just above 300 p.... But I suppose haven't been routed as the other big house builders .....Crest Nicholson come to mind....

For what's it's worth I sold my £2k holding in HGM. It's 7 % yield but I can pop back for the ex div day. I bought £1 k of Fres...£500 ACA...and £300 VRS. I. think timing in this bear market is everything....

Yes I can see this on Shortdata too. This might be the turnaround ...lets see.

I would say the increased activity of TT In ternational who on 6 th November increased their short position. But why are Acso being shorted. I guess high p e growth companies are seen as vulnerable in these times. Certainly not a defensive stock!

I hold ACSO which is a high p e company too . That has gone down by nearly 50 % I did hold IQE a non dividend giving Plc which is now a third of its peak SP . But LTG with its Pe of 321% is bucking the trend . ...that is the flight from high p e tech companies. Remarkable really. I continue to top up if it looks right.....

What a resilient share this is ?! During last months market correction ZTF never went much below say 515 . I expected it would so didn't top up. In the three quarter year report I was interested to read about the Polish factory. So with their manufacturing bases in China and the US, I think ZTF are well paced to deal with GBP swings. This is run by a very astute board.
