Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
I heard a phrase I’d never seen before and I thought I bet I never use that.
“ALL MY EYE AND BETTY MARTIN”
Non of that bubbly stuff
Hennessy VSOP fine champagne cognac
I think higher.Looks like the last one was 25p.
Well I wouldn’t mind the royalties from the original.
And the best thing is some of the drilling at EG was Free.
There Shaun stood, in the town hall meet
Smiling from his head to his feet
He said hey, what is this
Now baby, we drilled Ernest Giles and didn’t miss
He said hey, that’s our endgame
Maybe we can drill Scallywag the same
Now don't you wait or hesitate
Let's move before they raise the drilling rate
All right now, baby it's all right now
All right now, baby it's all right now
A comment on the dewatering progress would be good for example. Shaun did say guidance on this would preferably be given by or hand in glove with the JV manager.
Anyway, on the Ernest Giles thread, Callum certainly did a good job of picking us some right belters.
It’s a fair point acechaser, not everything is about us shareholders. There are other interested parties.
I’m not expecting any major revelations, although that would be welcome, but at least an update on Telfer/Havieron from our JV partner giving a bit more detail than we have become accustomed to.
Whilst we don’t know how much information Newmont will give out on February 22nd regarding Telfer/Havieron, I think there’s no way they can just quickly gloss over it. After all it’s not just us who want to know, this will be for their existing and potential new investors. So we should get some idea of at least their short term intentions and progress which is more than we had from Newcrest in their final months. Any information can only be a good thing.
Yes cheers Liam and Shaun, a very solid interview there. No dramas, no hype, just moving forward, forward, forward on many fronts.
Be good to get a similar message from Newmont in February. Think that will really set the ship on a better course.

I know at 7.5pps people might have heard they’re giving them away.
So I suppose it’s a reasonable question. 😀
Thanks to a comment by Spymaster, I thought I’d revisit some old early stage Ernest Giles exploration RNS from before we were rudely interrupted by Havieron. The extract below is from an RNS dated 27/9/2018. Nothing wrong with a bit of nostalgia.
“Two large zones of mineralisation were identified; Western 6km x 1.5km and Eastern 2km x 1.5km. Additional 1m sampling of several intercepts was undertaken to confirm preliminary results and better define mineralisation with many significant gold results returned up to 2g/t. Results confirmed mineralisation is present over a large area at Meadows and suggest that Greatland has discovered a new gold province in this largely unexplored region.”
The stock must be globally-listed on an exchange
The company must have a market capitalization of greater than $750 million
The average daily traded volume must be greater than 50,000 shares
And the average daily traded volume must exceed $1 million per day
From what I have read the above seems to be part of the criteria for inclusion into the GDX other than possibly the definition of “miner”?
I have previously wondered if there was any average trading volume restriction for the ASX listing.I haven’t seen anything about this so not sure on this one.
But anyway, I try not to get involved in the “shorter” side of things, but when the time comes for a possible entry into GDX every cloud may have a silver? lining. Just a thought.

My GGP shares from Starvest just turned up in my ii accounts.
Not far at all now compared to how far we have come.
Definitely on the final countdown. Approximately 80 vertical metres to go, not far now.
GLA
“There is approximately 80 vertical metres of development remaining before the decline reaches the base of the Permian cover and top of the Havieron orebody”
Thanks once again to Stuart for flagging it up, hopefully 😀 you don’t mind me using it. Some by now may have already watched it. If not, I think you’ll enjoy, I did.
Not specifically GGP but it might as well be.

Sorry should have put this link in my last post for info for anyone who may be interested and not already seen. Gives some idea and tips of what makes a good application.

Looks like GGP are applying for Canning next.

In a similar vein and with the same caveats as TT’s comments.
I assume that when the Australian government gives out the grants for drilling, which In this case Ernest Giles successfully applied for, first they have to have a lot of confidence in the company applying but they also must do a certain amount of their own due diligence on the drilling target and have a good belief there is a reasonable amount of merit in the application.I believe if I remember correctly there is a lot of competition for the grants, which is understandable.
Anyway got to go out now in the wind and the rain, can’t put it off any longer, I’m getting the border collie mind control stare.
